NICHE: LEGO techniques & minifigures
Quad (not his real name, just his Internet persona) is a TFOL (Teen-Fan-of-LEGO) and has been a playing and building with LEGO since he was 5. Of course back then him and his sisters kept all their LEGO piled in an about 3 ft by 2 ft by 1 ft big clear plastic bucket and would pour it all out into a large blanket and just start building.
When Quad got older he had less time for building with LEGO – going through what is known as the Dark Ages. Thankfully that only lasted a year or two and Quad’s interest in LEGO was rekindled from his interest in reading. After reading LEGO: A Love Story by Jonathan Bender he realized that there is an entire online community of fans of LEGO just like him!
Quad quickly joined MOCpages and has been posting things for almost a year. Now his collection has grown to fill his bedroom and is properly sorted and easy to get to when he has that itch to build.
one thing: U R AWSOME
Nice, as a TFOL myself I am not that organized and have NO online presence at all… sad.
*GASP!* Dark ages can be the cruel and unforgiving times in ones life! Good thing it wasnt long 🙂
Oh, you are over it? That’s nice! I was actually planning to write a dark article about the dark ages. 🙄
Thank you for your feedback on my first article. I hope to join the forces of writing news articles about the blocky-world we played with as kids. I don’t think I’ll be entering the dark ages anytime soon.
Nice pic Quad!
Hey Quad! I’m Meneldur, more commonly known as Jon. I’ve played with Legos ever since I was five as well though my sister never played with them. Nice Lego version of you.
Do you have directions to build the water faucet and water drop? About how many legos did it take? I love it!!!
Thank you,
Kristie
Kristie, Quad hasn’t been around, but if you are talking about the water drop in his article on LEGO water, you can just click on the image and it will take you to the creator’s gallery where you can see the picture in a larger format. And if you still have question you can ask them directly. It is an elegant, but simple build, so you should be able just copy it by looking at the larger version of the picture. If you have further questions feel free to ask. 🙂
