The LEGO Ninjago Movie website & more!

The LEGO Ninjago Movie won’t be released until the end of September, however LEGO already updated the official LEGO Ninjago website to get ready for the upcoming film. It is interesting to note that instead of setting up a separate webpage, like they have done with The LEGO Batman Movie, The LEGO Ninjago Movie is sharing space with the regular LEGO Ninjago content. Basically what this means right now is that the LEGO Ninjago homepage is replaced with The LEGO Ninjago Movie graphics, trailer, and other information, while the internal pages still contain the regular LEGO Ninjago products, videos, games and more. This seems to be another proof that The Ninjago Movie is not going to be as drastically different from the TV show as it was originally planned. 🙂

The main attraction right now on the LEGO Ninjago homepage is The LEGO Ninjago Movie trailer, which we have seen before, but I’m enclosing it again for your convenience, and because it’s so awesome!

When Ninjago City is attacked by evil warlord Garmadon, only Lloyd, Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane, and Nya are ready to stand in his way to defend their home. But wait. Garmadon is Lloyd’s long lost father – talk about an awkward family reunion. The teen ninja face a formidable enemy, but fate has called upon them to defend their home town! … Oh sorry, that wasn’t fate, that was just Lord Garmadon butt-dialing Lloyd. This will be epic!

From the LEGO Ninjago homepage there is also a link to download The LEGO Ninjago Movie poster, and you can join the latest WU-CRU mission to identify the characters of the upcoming film. It’s a simple little game to guess the silhouettes of the main characters (Zane, Cole, Jay, Lloyd, Kai and Nya), and if you get them right, you get a really nice image for each of them (see below).

While that’s pretty much all you can find right now related to The LEGO Ninjago Movie, more will likely going to be added soon. The movie is scheduled for release on September 22nd, and the related LEGO sets should be available on August 1st, so I would suggest to keep visiting the site for updates. And in the meantime, you can also check the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Are you excited about The LEGO Ninjago Movie? What do you think of the trailer, the story, and the updated characters? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

The LEGO Batman Movie was released on DVD and Blu-Ray just a couple of days ago. Both versions include some special features, including four new original animated shorts, four deleted scenes, and six featurettes. If you enjoyed the film, this is your chance to own it and watch it whenever you like. Below are some additional details. 🙂

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that assemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone-vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. 104 minutes of LEGO Batman fun!

Special features include the original animation shorts “Dark Hoser”, “Batman is Just Not That Into You”, “Cooking with Alfred”, “Movie Sound Effects: How Do They Do That?”, and “The Master: A LEGO Ninjago Short”. Other special features include “One Brick at a Time: Making The LEGO Batman Movie”, “Rebrick Contest Winners”, “Inside Wayne Manor”, the original movie trailers, director and crew commentary, and more.

Both the DVD and the Blu-Ray version are available at various retailers like Target and Wal-Mart, and you can also get it online on Amazon.com. Below are the links:

Owning the DVD/Blu-Ray version of The LEGO Batman Movie is a great way to enjoy the film, and also to pick up all the little details that you might have missed when watching it at the theatre. And if you are really liked the film, I also highly recommend the book titled The LEGO Batman Movie: The Making of the Movie. It is full of interesting background information, sketches and other details about how the movie and the related LEGO models were made. See review here: The LEGO Batman Movie Books from DK
