Build LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy figures

If you are a Marvel comics fan, you are probably aware that the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film was released in theatres just about a week ago. The movie has been highly praised by critics for its humor, soundtrack and cast, and a third film is already in the works. We have talked about the recently released LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of the Galaxy sets (see links at the end of this post), but building official LEGO sets is not the only way LEGO fans can have fun commemorating a movie. 🙂

You might remember that about a month ago we shared a video series created in collaboration between The Brick Show, and LEGO fan Tyler Clites (see: The Monster Series by The Brick Show). The collection features building instructions for some funny little brick-built characters similar to the LEGO Mixels line. In each video, Tyler introduces a new character, then shows you how to build it. Tyler is a very talented builder, and fun teacher, so building along with him is a great way to spend an afternoon or weekend.

Now The Brick Show released another video series, where Tyler shows you how to make brick-built versions of some of the most iconic characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film. The figures are excellently designed and look really good. The collection includes Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Baby Groot, Drax, Yondu, Mantis, and Nebula. And there is also a wearable replica of Star-Lord’s Sony Walkman that you can build for yourself! In the play-list below, I have included all the videos in the collection, so feel free to watch and build along!

Brick-built figures are very fun to make, look great on display, and can also really enhance your LEGO building skills. These Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 figures are sort of a mix between the very blocky LEGO BrickHeadz characters, and the very articulated LEGO Mixels. Have fun building. It’s nice to see Chase McCain back in action! Also, the Goonies character is unique to the set, as well as Hermione’s outfit. And as always, all the mini-builds that come with the characters can be rebuilt in three different ways. And of course, each of the sets unlock new adventures in the game. So, there is something for minifig collectors, as well as gamers. Below is a little trailer for the new sets and characters.
