LEGO Store Calendar April 2016 - New Sets

Some highlights include the LEGO Angry Birds sets that were just released a couple of weeks ago. While Angry Birds may not be everyone’s favorite LEGO theme, the sets are actually pretty interesting with a great selection of new and very useful parts. You can find them under the LEGO Angry Birds section of the Online LEGO Shop.

My favorite new release this month is the #21305 LEGO Ideas Maze. We have discussed the set previously in detail (see links at the end of this post), so I won’t repeat myself, but it is one of the most interesting and innovative LEGO sets of recent years. So check it out. You can find it under the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Also, don’t forget about all the new sets released last month in the LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Super Heroes, LEGO Juniors, LEGO Minecraft and LEGO Speed Champions themes. You can find them all under their specific categories, or at the What’s New section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO Minecraft has been doing exceptionally well for LEGO, and thus releasing a large exclusive set does make sense. The village setup looks great, and like with all LEGO Minecraft sets, there is a lot of room for reconfiguring the layout. The color selection is very pleasing, and the minifigures are great. The price is on the high side based on the piece count, but you get a good amount of large plates and other very useful elements. Also the villager minifigs look very interesting.
