Big and beautiful LEGO Ninjago dioramas

There is no doubt that the new wave of LEGO Ninjago sets are excellent, especially the #70751 LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu. (Find reviews of the sets here: LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu Review and LEGO Ninjago – 2015 Summer Sets Reviews) And you can make the sets even more exceptional by combining them. This is exactly what Eurobricks members Songwm, Cao and Alson have done; they have built an epic display including almost all of the new LEGO Ninjago sets. 🙂

The LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu’s rocky base has been expanded into a whole hilltop with more buildings and trees. I really like how a small pond was added under the bridge of the temple, with the water cascading down through a waterfall. The rockwork and other landscaping is done really well throughout this scene, and the fall colors of the foliage makes the whole layout especially picturesque.

On the other side of the diorama there is an intense battle-scene with Sensei Wu and the ninja fighting all kinds of ghostly creatures. The dragons, mechs, and other vehicles from the summer LEGO Ninjago sets are all included. And in between the serene hilltop with the temple and the battle-scene, there is a beautiful river with the #70738 LEGO Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty gliding through the water, while the #70735 LEGO Ninjago Ronin R.E.X. is flying above the river to help out in the aerial fight. See can see more pictures at Eurobricks here.

This is not the first time these talented builders created a large LEGO Ninjago diorama; they have also done it with the previous wave of LEGO Ninjago sets. Their collaborative work was on display at their local LEGO store. This diorama also features beautiful landscaping and dramatic battle-scenes. You can see more pictures at Eurobricks here.

I hope these LEGO Ninjago creations inspire you to expand your own building skills and ideas. Also, note that you don’t have to build everything yourself. If you have friends who also enjoy the LEGO hobby, you can work together on larger projects. This is a wonderful way to spend time with friends and do bigger and better things than each person could do on their own. If you are interested to create your own LEGO Ninjago scene, and you don’t have the sets already, all of the ones featured here are available at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO Creator Future Flyers secret 4th build

I got the September-October 2015 LEGO Club Magazine a few days ago, and have been having lots of fun browsing through it. The variety of content is really good, and the pictures are excellent (something that is not always the case) – in fact, this is my favorite issue this year. I will talk about the content of the magazine in the next couple of weeks as I know not all of our readers get it, but one thing that caught my eye right away is an alternate build for the #31034 LEGO Creator Future Flyers set. 🙂

#31034 LEGO Creator

The #31034 LEGO Creator Future Flyers is a 3-in-1 set that includes instructions for three alternate models. The main model – featured on the front of the box – is a super cool flying mech with an orange, white, translucent-blue and black color-scheme, a large robo-head with a single piercing blue eye, and removable backpack with foldout wings and removable rocket boosters. The other two models are a futuristic jet with variable wings, and a high-tech sports car. All three models are a pleasure to build and fun to play with and this is a great set overall.

In the latest issue of the LEGO Club Magazine, there is a fourth alternate model for this set; a space toilet. Yeah, you read that right! We have discussed LEGO’s fascinations with toilets in the article: The LEGO Parrot that Eats and Poops. Recently released LEGO sets with toilets include the #70811 The LEGO Movie Flying Flusher, the #60073 LEGO City Service Truck, the #10218 LEGO Creator Pet Shop, #10246 LEGO Creator Detective’s Office, and also several of the LEGO Friends sets have bathrooms. And of course there is also the #31031 LEGO Rainforest Animals with the pooping parrot. And now we have a giant space toilet too! 🙄

#31034 LEGO Creator Alternate Model

Here is the description from the LEGO Club Magazine: Sure, the LEGO Creator Future Flyers mech can already be rebuilt into a jet and a sports car. But did you know that this “3-in-1” model has a top-secret FOURTH build? IT’S TRUE! With the help of exclusive LEGO Club building steps, now you can take your mech and turn it into a new and improved SPACE TOILET. And here is the description from the LEGO Club website: Did you wipe the seat? Did you remember to flush? Did you change the toilet roll when the last piece was gone? We hope you did, because here comes the Giant Space Toilet! Ensuring high standards of hygiene all across the galaxy, this flying robot and its huge claws is on patrol… Don’t forget you can always alter the design, change the color or substitute any element you’re missing from your LEGO collection.

#31034 LEGO Creator Toilet

Since I have the #31034 LEGO Creator Future Flyers set, I built this alternate model. It’s actually pretty funny. It doesn’t really look like a toilet at all – in fact it appears more menacing than comfortable, but I guess it is the future version of those high-tech Japanese toilets I always wanted to try. Anyhow, this particular toilet has buttons and gadgets and giant claws to hold toilet paper, and it can also fly. Whoever was the LEGO designer for this set obviously had a lot of fun. 😀

#31034 LEGO Creator Space Toilet

If you have the #31034 LEGO Creator Future Flyers set and would like to build the space toilet, you can download the instructions at LEGO.com/club and click on “Build” in the top menu. It will be the very first model listed there. If you don’t have the #31034 LEGO Creator Future Flyers set yet, I highly recommend it. It comes with 237 pieces, three alternate models (plus the top-secret fourth model you read about here), and lots of play-value. And it is only $24.99. You can get it under the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
