The map to track the LEGO Collectible Minifigs Series 10 Mr. Gold is now up and running on LEGO’s website. As you know, only 5000 fully gold-chromed Mr. Gold minifigures have been released. Each of them are individually numbered, and those lucky people who find them can enter the unique code found in Mr. Gold’s packet on LEGO’s website (see map here).
As of this writing out of the 5000 LEGO Mr. Gold minifigures 66 have been found (according to the map – I’m sure a lot of people don’t even report them). One of those is our own contributor William, who just told me he has found one after going through several full boxes. William is wickedly fast and accurate at identifying each minifigure due to being legally blind, which makes his other senses much more developed – clearly giving him an advantage. (See William’s article: Guide to Feeling LEGO Minifigs Series 10) Congratulations, William!
If you would like to try your luck finding your own LEGO Mr. Gold minifigure they are now officially released and should be available at all LEGO stores, Toys’R’Us stores, Target, Wal-Mart, and wherever else the Collectible Minifigure Series are regularly carried.
LEGO Collectible Minifigs Series 10 is also available at the Online LEGO Shop. The disadvantage of buying online is that you can’t feel the bags, however there is also a significant advantage; it is unlikely that employees and other people who are out hunting for Mr. Gold have gone through the bags already, leaving you with a lot more chance of finding one. 😎
And of course besides the elusive Mr. Gold, this series is full of wonderful minifigures. So even if you don’t find Mr. Gold you can still collect a full series of these awesome minifigs, or just get the ones you like the most.

Happy huntin’! And if you find the LEGO Mr. Gold minifigure let us know so that we can all celebrate your great fortune! 😉
