LEGO Legends of Chima & others on eBay!

Some interesting LEGO listings appeared on eBay yesterday from eBay seller BlockPartyBricks. They have several not-yet-released minifigs from the LEGO Legends of Chima, LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and LEGO The Hobbit themes. The pictures are clear, crisp and give a great view of the minifigures, so have fun feasting your eyes! 😛

I will also include the direct eBay links in case you want to snatch up these minifigs early. Some of them are listed as an auction, so you may luck out and get a great deal, and some are listed with a fixed price. If you have the money, you could be the first on the block to own these little guys.

LEGO Legends of Chima Minifigure: I believe this minifigure supposed to be a raven or crow. The helmet is especially beautiful with red and silver highlights. The head and torso are both printed at the front and back, and the legs are printed as well. The wings are beautiful, although I’m a bit disappointed with how they attach to the minifigure. I wish they were closer and more flush with the body, like the mummy wings from the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest line, but I guess the brick-built attachment gives more options. LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Minifigure: Michelangelo is the only turtle the seller listed at the time of writing this post. Perhaps since then they have listed more. I really like this minifig and will definitely get all the turtles. I believe the turtles are only printed at the front of their torsos. The turtle-shell is really nice! – EBAY LISTING HERE

LEGO The Hobbit Elven Minifigures: so far the seller listed two elves from the new LEGO The Hobbit sets. To me they both look female judging from the facial features, but it is also possible the heads got mixed up. Both have dual-printed heads with different facial features, as well as torsos printed both front and back, and printed legs. EBAY LISTING HERE

LEGO Batman Commissioner Gordon: this is another minifigure the seller had listed from a set not yet released. Both the torso and head have front and back printing. And that S.W.A.T. printed torso is going to very useful! (Click image for larger view.) EBAY LISTING HERE

Aren’t they great? What do you think? How do you like the new minifigs? Which is your favorite? You might also want to check out BlockPartyBricks for more listings as it seems they sell LEGO regularly. Are you planning to bid on any of them? Share your thoughts below! 🙂

LEGO Creations for Charity 2012!

Make children happy during the Christmas holidays and get awesome LEGO creations at the same time! This is the 4th year for LEGO Creations for Charity founded by Nannan Zhang and supported by many LEGO fans from around the world. You can have some fun, and also know you are participating in a great cause to raise money for underprivileged children during the holidays. How? Read the details below!

LEGO Creations for Charity is an annual fundraising event where LEGO builders from all over the world donate their creations to sell and raise money to buy LEGO sets for kids who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to play with LEGO. In their first year in 2009, LEGO Creations for Charity sold 43 LEGO creations and raised $2,010. They purchased and donated almost $3,000 worth of LEGO sets to Toys for Tots. In 2010 they sold 120 LEGO creations and raised $9,035 from sales and monetary donations and donated over $14,000 worth of LEGO sets along with a check for $723 to Toys for Tots. In 2012 they sold 66 creations and raised $5,700. And despite the lower funds, they still managed to donate almost $9,200 worth of LEGO sets!

This year LEGO Creations for Charity is expanding their donations to two countries outside the USA: Chile and Croatia, and they need a lot more funds to buy enough LEGO to make this happen. They have already raised over 2,000 in the first two days and looking forward to setting a new record! Here is Nannan explaining how the process works and how you can participate:

Would you like to participate? Below are ways you can take part. There is a way for everyone to have some fun and make a difference!

➡ Visit the LEGO Creations for Charity store to buy LEGO creations donated by fans. Please note that the best creations go fast. Also, I recommend that you check back often as new creations are added regularly until November 30th. Visit the store here.

➡ Donate your own LEGO creation to the charity drive. Fill out the donation form here before November 15th, and your LEGO creation will be listed at the LEGO Creations for Charity store. You’ll feel good knowing that you have brightened a child’s holiday with a LEGO set (or more)! You can also get reimbursed you for the cost of making your creation. This will make it easier to part with your LEGO bricks. If your donations contribute more than $50 to the fundraiser, you will also receive a special thank-you gift.

➡ If you don’t see what you are looking for at the store, you can head over to the LEGO Creations for Charity Indiegogo campaign to get a commissioned LEGO creation or pick up a cool LEGO gift! Here are some examples of what you can have an experienced LEGO builder do for you:

And here are the LEGO gift items you can purchase at the campaign page. You can donate for them individually, or get all three:

If you have any questions about the LEGO Creations for Charity fundraiser don’t hesitate to ask in the comment section. Are you planning to participate? How? Share your thoughts below, and Happy Holidays!
