LEGO forced-perspective with a twist…

In a previous article about using LEGO forced-perspective techniques we featured the work of Polish LEGO Club member crises. (See: LEGO Building Techniques: Forced Perspective) Today I will show you another forced-perspective creation by him, but this one is with a twist. It is in fact a fun little flash-game. But let’s see the LEGO diorama first. 😉

Great use of forced-perspective isn’t it? I particularly like the use of the round tile with the twirling stars pattern from an old LEGO Belville set. The buildings are also really sweet, using the new masonry-profile bricks.

However, as I said, this is not just a LEGO diorama, but it is also a fun little flash-game called Frogz; you need to find all the frogs on the picture. Hint; click on the windows to open them – some of the frogs may be hiding behind. You can play the game here:

Fun, huh? Crises says that this is his first flash game. I had no problem playing it, but he does say that depending on your computer’s capabilities it may crash, freeze or show all answers at the start. Anyhow, you can try it out and see how you like it. You may also try this alternate address to play the game if the one above doesn’t work: Play Frogz on Brickshelf

So what do you think? How did you like the LEGO diorama, the use of forced-perspective, and especially the game? Share your thoughts below! And if you would like to leave Crises some feedback, you can do so here, or at his Flickr Gallery. Have fun finding the frogs! 🙂
