2013 LEGO sets: LEGO Technic first video

More and more pictures and videos are trickling in from the German Toy Fair about the LEGO sets coming this summer and fall. Today I would like to show you a couple of the upcoming LEGO Technic sets, because they are just so awesome! Take a look below (click image for larger view)! šŸ˜›

We have discussed the 2013 LEGO sets coming this summer and fall and first revealed at the London Toy Fair a couple of weeks ago (see: Summer & Fall 2013 LEGO Sets), however at that event no pictures were allowed. At the recent German Toy Fair though, taking pictures and videos were welcome, so we have a chance to take a first look at the upcoming sets.

Here is a list of the LEGO Technic sets scheduled for this fall:

  • #42001 LEGO Technic Mini Off-Roader – a very small model, but with full suspension. Orange body.
  • #42005 LEGO Technic Monster Truck – large wheels, hefty tires, red body, full suspension.
  • #42008 LEGO Technic Service Truck – rescue vehicle with Power Functions, a green body and red highlights.
  • #42009 LEGO Technic Mobile Crane Mk II – a ten-wheeled huge mobile crane equipped with Power Functions. Said to be the largest Technic model ever in terms of number of pieces.

In the video below you have a chance to look at the 2013 LEGO Technic models and also see the Power Function features of the #42009 LEGO Technic Mobile Crane and the #42008 LEGO Technic Service Truck in action. Check out these monsters! šŸ˜Ž

Aren’t they impressive?Ā These are great LEGO sets for anyone who love tinkering withĀ trucks, interested in mechanics,Ā or who is already familiar with the LEGO Technic line.Ā Unfortunately we do have to wait a few months for these sets to become available, however in the meantime you can check out the currently available LEGO Technic sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles part 3

TheĀ third episode of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles is out! We first discussed the Yoda Chronicles back in December (see: LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles), then there were two very short episodes on the planet Umbara: LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles part 1, and LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles part 2. And now we are up to part 3! šŸ˜€

LEGO Star Wars Yoda Chronicles

The previous two LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles episodes have been quite disappointing; the videosĀ are very short (about a minute), there is no voice-over, and the stories are lame –Ā which is very unusual for LEGO videos, as they tend to be funny and witty. At least the animation looks fine.Ā Many LEGO fans even say that these don’t look like anything more than an extendedĀ advertisement forĀ recently releasedĀ LEGO Star Wars sets. šŸ˜•

The interesting aspect of the thirds episode of the LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles is that it is in fact an entirely new chapter. So yes, the previous chapter on the planet Umbara was only two one-minute parts. I guess Yoda wasĀ documenting theseĀ events in shorthand…

Anyhow, you can watch theĀ third episode below to form your own opinion. ThisĀ third episode is called LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles – EpisodeĀ 2 PartĀ 1 Rancor Pit. Enjoy! šŸ˜›

So what do you think of the third episode of the LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles? I liked this episode a little better then the previous two, although it is still far from the quality of other LEGO videos. What are your thoughts? Feel free to share them in the comment section below. šŸ˜‰
