LEGO Lord of the Rings new trailer

To celebrate Gamescom happening this week, Warner Bros. has released a new full length trailer for the upcoming LEGO The Lord of the Rings video game. You can check out the previous trailer and more about the video-game here: LEGO Lord of the Rings Video Game Coming!

While the first trailer was focusing on the more tragic elements of the Lord of the Rings films, this second trailer is more light-hearted with a good bit of LEGO humor. Check it out below:

Exciting, huh? Here are some of the features of the LEGO Lord of the Rings game we have discussed before:

  • Explore all of the open-world of Middle-Earth and experience epic battles with Orcs, Uruk-hai, the Balrog, the Witch-king, and other fearsome creatures.
  • Wield the power of the Palantír or Seeing-Stone (‘one that looks far-away’), and jump between multiple storylines.
  • Experience the LEGO Lord of the Rings heroes come to life in an all new way, as they deliver the dialogue from the films.
  • Collect, combine and forge new items in the Blacksmith Shop using Mithril, the most precious metal in Middle-earth.
  • Discover and unlock over more than 60 playable characters, including Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf, and many others.
  • Collect and use a variety of weaponry and magical items, including the Light of Earendil, Elven rope, swords, and bows.
  • Play with family and friends with easy access drop-in, drop-out gameplay option.

Another bit of news that came out recently is that the LEGO Lord of the Rings Game will also have a special ediction, with an exclusive Elrond minifigure included. Another reason to be super excited abou the game! 🙂

The LEGO Lord of the Rings video-game is scheduled to be released in October, but Toys’R’Us and some other retailers may carry it earlier then the official release date. You can also pre-order the game on Amazon!

So what do you think of the new LEGO Lord of the Rings game? Are you planning to get it? And how about the Elrond minifigure? I’m not so much a gamer, but this minifig is a must! What do you think? 😉
