LEGO Star Wars summer sets commercials

The LEGO Star Wars summer sets commercials have been released recently, so I thought to share them with you. They are pretty exciting, if I might say so, with all the starships swooshing around. Check them out! 😛

The first LEGO Star Wars commercial features the #9515 LEGO Star Wars Malevolence vs. the #9498 LEGO Star Wars Saesee Tiin’s Jedi Starfighter. The Malevolence is a particularly exciting set!

The second LEGO Star Wars commercial includes the #9497 LEGO Star Wars Republic Striker vs. the #9500 LEGO Star Wars Fury Class Interceptor. Some really sweet minifigures in these sets!

Toys’R’Us already has the LEGO Star Wars summer sets available, including the four sets mentioned above, and they should be listed on LEGO’s website soon, so stay tuned!

Which LEGO Star Wars summer sets have you been looking forward to the most? And which are you planning to get? Share your thoughts below! 😉

LEGO CUUSOO project: LEGO birds

Love LEGO? Love birds? You will love LEGO Birds! Here is another LEGO CUUSOO project you might like to check out and support (remember; a LEGO project needs 10,000 votes for LEGO to consider production).

DeTomaso (Thomas Poulsom) is the creator of the LEGO Birds series shares the following about his inspirational LEGO CUUSOO project:

I find birds a great subject to build with LEGO. Being a gardener and bird-lover, I can’t believe I didn’t think of it sooner. I also think that if these birds were turned into official LEGO sets they would be inspirational to both children and adults.

I really enjoy matching the different colors and different features of our beautiful feathered friends and I hope that one day anybody else can have the chance to build their own birds from LEGO.

The plan is to build a series of LEGO birds for every continent around the world, that way everybody can have the chance to own their favorite native bird in LEGO form. I plan to make 7 birds for each series which I think is a good number for a set. This may change if there are more birds I’d like to build – which is most likely.

So far I have created a series of popular British Birds which I have tried to make as close to life-size as possible. This is the first in the series of LEGO birds. The more support I receive the more birds I will build and post on my CUUSOO LEGO project page.

In an ideal world, if this CUUSOO project reaches 10,000 supporters and passes the review, I would like each LEGO bird to be sold seperately with a little scene/perch and a little plaque with information about the specific bird. I think it would be a bonus to have a LEGO sound-brick somewhere in the build with the particular birds-song or call. 🙂

I have contacted the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) which is a great British bird charity. I hope to get them on board this LEGO project to help the LEGO birds take off. My idea is for some of the proceeds of this product to go to their great cause. I have also started on a new secret colorful series of LEGO birds due to a request from a newspaper that my LEGO birds will be featuring soon. 😉

To see the LEGO birds I’ve built so far in more detail you can visit my Flickr Gallery, but please don’t forget to support the project before you go elsewhere. It only takes a minute to register at CUUSOO and support this project. Please take the time to help make people aware how important these beautiful feathered creatures are (you can Tweet, Like and share below).

I really hope you enjoy these LEGO birds and support me to help them take off. I am also open to suggestions of future birds to build. Please comment and let me know which bird you would like to see and it could become reality.

How about you? What do you think of the LEGO birds series? I love birds myself and I’m an avid bird-watcher, so I really like this LEGO project. What are your thoughts? Share them in the comments below! 😉
