Little Armory’s LEGO-compatible accessories are the creations of Jeff Byrd (aka. BLASTERMAN) – a legendary customizer. Jeff’s product-line ranges from medieval weapons and armor-pieces to sci-fi and Star Wars weapons.
Unfortunately Little Armory’s accessories are extremely hard to come by. Their online store only opens for brief periods of time with products selling out within a mere few hours. Jeff does have a friend and business partner, Chris Flink, who is an authorized reseller for Little Armory products. However his Bricklink store – Sith35’s Toy Box – has been closed for months.
It is difficult to find Little Armory on the secondary market as well, as collectors hold onto them like their most precious treasure. If you do have a chance to buy them by all means do! Prices are extremely reasonable (if you buy them directly – I can’t guarantee that for the secondary market), and the products are very unique and beautiful!
💡 TIP: I placed my last order by checking the Little Armory website first thing in the morning for several weeks before I finally found it open. I filled my shopping cart as quickly as I could! If you are serious about getting your hands on these awesome accessories, you may consider using my strategy. 😉
QUALITY: Little Armory uses ABS plastic in professionally created molds according to Jeff’s designs. The plastic does have a bit different look and feel than LEGO’s, with a less shiny finish and somewhat more rigid feel to it.
MOLD DETAIL: Weapons and minifig accessories created by the LEGO Company or by LEGO customizers usually have a more rounded, somewhat cartoonish style. This is mainly to increase the safety and playability in the hands of small children. This is not the case for products from Little Armory. This company is going for perfection and a realistic look – more appropriate for adult-fans and collectors. Although the plastic is durable, because of the tiny details, delicate connections, and sharp edges and points, you do need to handle them with some care.
COLORS: The last time I have placed an order Little Armory products were available in 4 colors; black, dark-gray (close to LEGO’s dark-bluish-gray) pewter (very close to LEGO’s pearl-dark-gray), and copper (fairly close to LEGO’s pearl-copper).
PRODUCTS: Little Armory carries two medieval weapons sets (7 items each), medieval armor and helmets, and various Star Wars and sci-fi weapons and blasters.
SUMMARY: Little Armory’s products are some of those rare and unique treasures collectors feel privileged to own. I hope Jeff will expand his business in the future and make his products available in wider circles. If not keep your eyes peeled for them and grab them if you can. You will not be disappointed. 😉
