LEGO Ideas Review Results Announcement

Over the past months, the LEGO Ideas review board evaluated 36 impressive product ideas that reached 10,000 supporters between early September 2021 and early January 2022. And yesterday, LEGO Ideas Design Lead Jordan Scott and LEGO Ideas Engagement Manager Hasan Jensen revealed which of the reviewed projects will become the next official LEGO set. Below are the details.

The selected project is Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage by Belgian fan designer Amber Veyt (a.k.a. TheAmbrinator). Her original submission in 2020 was not approved, but she persevered and submitted an updated design. Amber’s deep passion for the much-loved Hocus Pocus movie shows in her design, which encapsulates all the little details and characters that really wowed the review board. The project hits a sweet spot for Halloween movies for families, with iconic characters and a location that the LEGO Ideas team really wanted to recreate using LEGO bricks. If you’d like to learn more about Amber then make sure to check out her 10K Club Interview.

The LEGO Ideas team is still working out the final product design, pricing, and availability for this set. They’ll share more closer to the launch date, and the set will also be listed at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The next batch of LEGO Ideas projects is already in review. 39 projects have earned their spot in the review by reaching 10,000 supporters between early January 2022 and early May 2022. The results of the review will be shared later in the fall.

As it stands, there are currently 5 fan creations that are in development and will launch in the future. Besides Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage by TheAmbrinator, this includes the A-Frame Cabin by Norton74, BTS “Dynamite” by JBBrickFanatic, The Office by Lego The Office, and the Motorized Lighthouse by Roses Must Build. Keep an eye out for future announcements about their release date.

And of course, for currently available LEGO Ideas sets, visit the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
