As we discussed earlier this week, there is a new promotional set available at the Online LEGO Shop. You can get the #40690 LEGO Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books set free with purchases of $150 or more this weekend only at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

The 351-piece set measures over 4 in. (11 cm) high, 6 in. (15 cm) wide, and 5.5 in (14 cm) deep, and includes details from three of Verne’s most beloved novels; Around the World in Eighty Days, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and Five Weeks in a Balloon. The set also features a Jules Verne minifigure. Even though this is a small set, it captures the essence of Verne’s visionary tales with a mix of steampunk aesthetics and intricate machinery pop-up book style!

Another currently available freebie is the #40688 LEGO Trophy Award with purchases of $65 or more from LEGO City, LEGO Classic, LEGO Friends, LEGO Ninjago, and LEGO DreamZzz. This offer is valid until June 27th at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

The customizable trophy comes with a variety of stickers and tiles so kids can switch up the design to match their latest success. Alternatively, they can choose a message for a friend or loved one. The set includes 4 smaller tiles with stickers to represent first place, gaming, music, and sport, 5 larger stickers with different messages (’Best Mom,’ ’Best Dad’, ’Best Friend’, ’Champion’ and ’Well Done’), plus customizable ribbon details in a variety of colors. The trophy measures over 4 in. (11 cm) high, 4 in. (10 cm) wide,
and 2.5 in. (7 cm) deep and makes a great display in tribute to various achievements.

What do you think? How do you like the new freebies? Are you planning to get them? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

LEGO Horizon Adventures Game Coming!

During the recent Summer Game Fest showcase, the LEGO Group announced the brand-new action-adventure game, LEGO Horizon Adventures, to be launched during the 2024 Holiday season on PC,  PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

Co-developed by Guerrilla and Studio Gobo, LEGO Horizon Adventures is a playful and light-hearted story inspired by the events of the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn.

In a distant future, the land is made of LEGO bricks and incredible dinosaur-like machines roam the Earth. Aloy, the game’s leading hero, is found in a cave as a baby and raised by a grizzled huntsman called Rost, who teaches her the way of the wilds. One day, Aloy embarks on a quest to discover her true destiny. Guided by a thousand-year-old hologram of a scientist called Elisabet, Aloy must confront Helis, the leader of a group of sun-worshippers who bow to an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery. There’s much more in store for Aloy and her friends, as their adventure sends them across the tallest mountains and deepest cauldrons — all beautifully recreated in LEGO elements.

Follow your own adventure or share the fun with another player via couch or online co-op. LEGO Horizon Adventures has been designed for two-player action without the need for a split screen, providing an opportunity for family and friends to develop connections through collaborative play. Below is the trailer for the game.

There’s plenty of brick-based fun to be had too. Give the village of Mother’s Heart a makeover, decorating it in delightful ways to unlock unique LEGO buildings and ornaments. You can even dish out hilarious outfits for your friends to wear!

Follow Guerrilla on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube for all the latest Horizon news and updates. To learn more about the game, please visit LEGOHorizonAdventures.com.

As you may remember, LEGO released the #76989 LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck set a couple of years ago, and with the new game, it’s possible that we will get more. What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!
