You may have seen by now that Brickset shared an interesting piece of news a few days ago. The next LEGO Collectible Minifigures series will be dedicated to Looney Tunes! The #71030 LEGO Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures series will include twelve characters; Lola Bunny, Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote, The Road Runner, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Daffy Duck, Speedy Gonzales, Tasmanian Devil, Marvin the Martian, Petunia Pig, and Porky Pig.

Also, take a look at the accessories. I really like the printed cheese pieces that come with Speedy Gonzales, and signs for Duffy Duck and Porky Pig. Tweety Bird is also pretty funny with that giant sledgehammer.

A full box of #71030 LEGO Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures include 36 characters. The distribution is not yet known, but ideally we should be able to get three complete collections from a full box. Price should be $4.99 per collectible minifig. Availability is not yet knows, but as the collection has been popping up at various stores, it should be sometime soon at LEGO retailers and the LEGO Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? How do you like the LEGO Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures? Do you have any favorites? Are you planning get some of them, or even collect them all? Are there any other characters you would like to see in possible future collections? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

LEGO Golden Harry Potter & Ninjago Minifigs

This year is expected to be big for LEGO Harry Potter fans as 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of LEGO’s collaboration with the Harry Potter franchise. To celebrate the event, LEGO is going to include a special anniversary golden minifigure in each of the Harry Potter sets released this summer.

The six special anniversary golden minifigures include Harry Potter, Voldemort, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Severus Snape, and Quirinus Quirrell. They all come with a golden stand and golden wand. We don’t know which sets these characters will come in, but you can keep an eye for updates on the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.

It’s interesting to note that LEGO Ninjago also got a collection of special anniversary golden minifigures this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the LEGO Ninjago TV show. So far, we got Sensei Wu, Lloyd, Kai, Cole, and Jay in the LEGO Ninjago Legacy sets that were released already, and we will be getting Nya and Zane later this year.

I you would like to collect them, golden Lloyd is available in the #71735 LEGO Ninjago Tournament of Elements (with hair) and in the #71742 LEGO Ninjago Overlord Dragon (with hood), golden Kai in the #71736 LEGO Ninjago Boulder Blaster, golden Cole in the #71737 LEGO Ninjago X-1 Ninja Charger, golden Jay in the #71738 LEGO Ninjago Zane’s Titan Mech Battle, and golden Wu in the #71741 LEGO Ninjago City Gardens. They each come with weapons, and a brick-built stand with a special printed 2×2 round plate. You can find them all at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The LEGO Ninjago special anniversary golden minifigures have a bit of color, which I assume was added to easily identify the characters. And they also have standard yellow heads (except for Sensei Wu), so they look like normal characters wearing special ninja suits. The LEGO Harry Potter golden minifigures on the other hand are completely golden, including their head, hair, clothing and accessories.

It’s also interesting to note that while golden special anniversary versions of popular characters is new for LEGO, it’s not new for LEGO’s competitor, Mega Construx. They have been releasing golden special edition versions of some of the main characters from their most popular franchises like Halo, Call of Duty, and Destiny. They are usually hard to get and very popular with collectors. I expect that LEGO’s golden minifigures will be similarly popular.

What do you think? How do you like the idea of golden special anniversary characters in LEGO themes? Are you interested to collect them? And what do you think of the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter anniversary minifigs? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!
