LEGO Toilet Paper Man Memes & More!

It seems like humanity has decided that the most important item to survive a pandemic is toilet paper. If your minifigs are also worried about running out of their precious rolls, now is the time to help them stock up. Below, I have included some fun LEGO memes depicting the current situation.

You have probably seen the image above circulating on social media, the #17654 LEGO Coronavirus Panic set. Of course, it’s fake, but it would be funny if LEGO would actually make it. The picture below is how we are all imagining the toilet paper hoarders.

If you need to walk your dog, here is how you do it during a pandemic. I’m a bit worried though that the toilet paper is going to get snatched from that open basket! Built by LEGO fan crises_crs.

Below is the typical middle-aged, slightly balding, overweight American, clad in cargo shorts and t-shirt, prepping for the apocalypse by stocking up on ultra soft 2-ply premium bath tissue (embossed for additional comfort). Free to laugh or cry at the ridiculousness. Its creator, LEGO fan Gregory Coquelz, calls him Toilet Paper Man (not to be confused with Florida Man).

Breaking news! Scientists in Brickville have confirmed that the Coronavirus can be transmitted to minifigures in its mutated form, Bricona. Don’t let your minifigs go unprepared! Stock up on Studd tissue! These professionally printed LEGO 1×2 round bricks, bottles, and other awesome supplies are available at EclipseBricks.com.

What do you think? Have you run into any of these characters at your local stores? Are there any other fun LEGO creations you have seen related to the current situation? Feel free to share and lighten up the mood in the comment section below!

LEGO Double VIP Points On All Purchases!

Just a little bit of update to brighten your weekend. LEGO is currently offering Double VIP Points on all purchases. This offer is valid until the end of the week (March 29th). If you have been thinking about getting something new, this is a good time to make a purchase. As LEGO store locations are temporarily closed in response to the COVID-19 situation, current offers will be honored online at LEGO.com and on LEGO catalog telephone orders only, until further notice. Also, remember that LEGO offers free shipping on all purchases over $35.

Some of the larger new sets you might consider include the #71044 LEGO Disney Train and Station, the #76139 LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile, the #10270 LEGO Creator Bookshop, the #75252 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer, the #10272 LEGO Creator Old Trafford – Manchester United, the #10269 LEGO Creator Fiat 500, the #21321 LEGO Ideas International Space Station, and more. You can find the full selection of new sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

Also, remember that the new LEGO Star Wars Buildable Helmets are now available for pre-order. You can find them at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Just because it’s Double VIP Points time, it doesn’t mean you have to focus on big sets. There are many great sets with moderate prices under LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Super Heroes, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Disney, LEGO Friends, LEGO Technic, and more. If you have children who currently have to stay home, focus on sets that can provide that with many hours of playtime and/or could also be converted into learning opportunities. LEGO Classic, LEGO Creator, and LEGO Technic are particularly good for this, and the new LEGO DOTS line is excellent for arts and crafts. You can check out the full selection at the Online LEGO Shop.

If you want to stretch your dollars further, take a look at the sales section of the Online LEGO Shop, where you can find slightly older and retiring sets for 20%-50% off.

What do you think? Are you planning to take advantage of the Double VIP Points period? What are you going to get? Or do you already have plenty to build with? What are you working on? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!
