A couple of years ago, LEGO ran a pilot program to test an online version of the Minifigure Factory that’s normally available at official LEGO stores. The Minifigure Factory allows you to personalize and order your own LEGO minifigure. After a long hiatus, the program is now back online, and according to the FAQ section, it will now stay open and will also get regular updates.

At the Minifigure Factory website, you can choose from a variety of minifigure heads, headwear, torsos, legs, and accessories, and also create a custom torso design (front and back) for your minifigure by using images, colors, and text. There is a limit of one minifigure per household at this time for the price of $11.99.

Minifigure Factory orders are sent with the same costs and delivery time as normal Online LEGO Shop orders. If you ordered a LEGO set alongside your minifigure, you should receive both together. To order your own custom minifig, visit the Minifigure Factory at the Online LEGO Shop.

I mentioned previously that during the pilot period, I was able to recreate theBrickBlogger.com logo reasonably accurately, placed an order, and received my minifig in a couple of weeks. I was very impressed by the turnaround time, the crispness of the custom design, as well as the packaging. I still have this minifigure and greatly treasure it.

So, if you want to create your own minifigure, head over to the Minifigure Factory at the Online LEGO Shop, and start designing!
