LEGO Ninjago Season 9: Hunted trailer

Awesome news for LEGO Ninjago fans! Yesterday, LEGO released the trailer for LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu Season 9, with the subtitle,”Hunted”. Following the supposed demise of Wu and the original ninja, Lloyd and Nya resist Lord Garmadon’s tyrannical control of Ninjago City. In the First Realm, the original ninja must find a weapon capable of defeating Garmadon and ending his rule. It’s not yet clear when the new season will start airing, however, the fact that LEGO released the trailer indicates that we won’t have to wait long. You can watch the trailer below. 🙂

The events in LEGO Ninjago Season 9 begin to take place a week after the events in Season 8. While Lloyd and Nya resist Emperor Garmadon’s oppressive hold on Ninjago City, Young Wu and the rest of the Ninja are stranded in a barbaric realm where fierce dragons are being hunted down by Iron Baron and his gang of Dragon Hunters. Lloyd must endure in Ninjago City, the others need to find the fabled Dragon Armor if they ever hope to get back home to stop Emperor Garmadon once and for all.

While LEGO Ninjago Season 9 doesn’t have a focus character like the previous seasons, the mascot of the season is the mysterious Master of the Golden Dragon. Iron Baron, Lord Garmadon, and Harumi serve as the main antagonists and the Dragon Hunters and Sons of Garmadon are the season’s villainous factions.

The upcoming LEGO sets related to LEGO Ninjago Season 9 include the #70650 LEGO Ninjago Destiny’s Wing, the #70651 LEGO Ninjago Throne Room Showdown, the #70652 LEGO Ninjago Stormbringer (blue dragon!), the #70653 LEGO Ninjago Firstbourne Dragon (red dragon!), the rugged and tank-like #70654 LEGO Ninjago Dieselnaut, the #70655 LEGO Ninjago The Dragon Pit arena, and the awesome #70658 LEGO Ninjago Oni Titan. There are also six interesting new flyers with wings for Cole, Jay, Kai, Zane, Nya, and the Golden Dragon Master.

Pretty exciting isn’t it? It’s nice to see Ninjago still going strong, and based on the trailer, it seems that this is going to be another adventure-packed season with a great storyline. The sets also look excellent with everything Ninjago is known for; dragons, mechs, beautiful buildings, and awesome vehicles! While we are waiting for the new episodes and new sets to arrive, you can also check out the current selection of sets at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.
