Free LEGO Halloween Pumpkin & More!

There are a couple of freebies this month at the Online LEGO Shop that you might want to take advantage of while supplies last.

The most popular freebie this month has been the #40730 LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber, free with purchases of the #75397 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Jabba’s Sail Barge. This offer didn’t last long however as stock ran out early. With freebies like this, it’s best to act as soon as they become available. I hope those of you who wanted to get it were able to.

The second freebie this month is the #40697 LEGO Halloween Pumpkin, free with purchases of $120 or more until the 14th of October or while supplies last. This is a really cute set with some fun play functions. You can light up the pumpkin’s wide orange face by pressing down on its lid to illuminate a light-brick inside. There are two faces to choose from; a traditional scary one or a friendly and smiley one. The pumpkin sits on a green baseplate next to a ghost floating on a transparent stick. This offer is available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

The third freebie this month is the #40728 LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz Brite Bomber, free with purchases of $90 or more until the 7th of October or while supplies last. Inspired by the LEGO Fortnite video game, it lets kids build a BrickHeadz version of an iconic video game figure. A cool gift for Fortnite fans, the buildable Brite Bomber figure is instantly recognizable thanks to her pink hair and trademark sunglasses. This offer is available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

As holiday shopping is ramping up, we can expect LEGO to offer various incentives like freebies and Double Points. The downside is that as people are shopping for the holidays, freebies and even regular sets (especially the popular ones) may go out of stock. So if you really want something before the end of the year, it’s best to get them as soon as possible.

What do you think? How do you like the free gift-with-purchase sets this month? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

One of the most unusual sets released this month is the #71438 LEGO Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi animated large-scale statue. LEGO didn’t advertise this set much, but it has some interesting features and functions worth checking out.

The set recreates the pixelated appearance of Mario and Yoshi from an earlier generation of side-scrolling Nintendo games. The model measures over 15.5 in. (40 cm) high, 10 in. (26 cm) wide, and 4 in. (11 cm) deep. It’s big, it’s colorful and adds delightful visuals in any gamers’ home or office.

But that’s not all! The model is also animated! You can turn the handle at the base of the model to make Yoshi run with Mario on his back, and you can also turn the dial behind Yoshi’s head to make his tongue pop in and out. The mechanism of these features works really well and is great for learning complex building techniques.

In addition, the model includes an Action Tag so you can also add a LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach figure (from sets #71439, #71440, or #71441 – sold separately) for an interactive experience. In the video below, JANGbricks will show you the set in detail, including the mechanical functions.

I think this set will be very popular with gamers, and it also makes a fun decor for a LEGO room. And at $129.99 for a 1,215-piece set, even the price is reasonable! If you want to check it out, it’s available at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.
