I’m very excited for these. I do also want to point out that while every one keeps complaining about the size of Iron Man’s helmet, we are getting two versions of Iron Man’s suit. I think that little detail keeps getting overlooked.

    • admin February 28, 2012, 5:20 PM

YTjedi, do you mean the promo fig? I haven’t seen that in any of the upcoming sets. 😕

      • YTjedi February 28, 2012, 6:26 PM

No, not the promo fig. The difference is in his little arc reactor on his chest. The Quinjet Iron Man has a round chest reactor like in Iron Man 1 and in the Cube Escape set he has a triangle reactor like in Iron Man 2.

        • admin February 28, 2012, 8:10 PM

YTjedi, thanks for the clarification! But the head is still too big! 😀

          • Jacob February 28, 2012, 10:05 PM

Well, it MAY look better in person. The one at toy fair could be opened up to show the face, so I may overlook this is can do that.

            • admin February 29, 2012, 9:19 AM

Jacob, I also hope the final minifig will look better. I’m planning to post a video with the opening helmet feature. It does look nice. 🙂

  • Quad February 28, 2012, 2:51 PM

Wow look at Hawkeye’s bow! And I’m really glad they have the Hulk’s hair come off and interchangeble with others.
I think I’m most excited for this line over all the others. 😀

    • YTjedi February 28, 2012, 3:30 PM

Where does it show that Hulk’s hair is removable or interchangable? His head looks larger than the standard minifig so I thought it would only really work on him. Cool though if he can put on other head gear.

      • Quad February 28, 2012, 4:06 PM

I was just guessing that the Hulk’s head was the same size as a normal minifigure’s head because of the shape.
But I hope his hair can be changed out becuase that’s a nice hairpiece on him. 🙂

Altough these are great sets, There are two things that I am somewhat upset over. First is rather minor, but all of these look to be based off of the avengers movie. I was really hoping that Captain America;s set would be based off his movie, and the motorcycle would look more WWII style. The other problem is that the Hulk Ultrabuild has silver. There is not a version of the Hulk I know of that has this, and it looks like a prototype, not a finished product. That said, other than that one set, they look very nice, and I like that most of their prices fall better into the “affordable” range than some other themes. My favorite is the heli. The figures look great (and I imagine very popular), the dark grey motorcycle is going to be sought after, lots of maroon parts, and not too expensive.

Jacob, thanks for sharing! Good points you got there! Since LEGO signed a multiple-year contract with DC and Marvel, I expect that they will release more in future years as well. Since this is the first time they have worked together it will likely take a bit of time and also responding to customer-feedback to see what works and what doesn’t. I highly recommend leaving feedback to LEGO. They are very responsive and do listen. 🙂

YES YES!!! THEY HAVE A DEADPOOL FIG YES!!!!!

  • Luca March 12, 2012, 5:32 AM

I really only only like the jet. The rest of the theme I guess is meant for big comic book fans

    • admin March 12, 2012, 10:16 AM

I also like the jet the most! 😀

  • EPIC NRG ZX DX KENDO COLE April 4, 2012, 7:20 PM

    I love DEADPOOL!

  • HiltonHeadFireman8564 April 6, 2012, 4:34 PM

I’m about to buy Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape and the Quinjet Ariel Battle! Does anyone else notice that LEGO includes the word ‘escape’ in a lot of sets?

    • admin April 6, 2012, 5:17 PM

LOL! Great notice! Haven’t thought of it, but now that you mention, I notice it everywhere! 😀

      • HiltonHeadFireman8564 May 3, 2012, 7:06 PM

Loki’s Cosmic Cube ESCAPE, Oil Rig ESCAPE, Dynamic Duo Funhouse ESCAPE. I can name you AT LEAST ten more sets that have the word ‘escape’ in the name.

in aus the hulks helicarrier breakout is 100$

  • jimmy kelly May 30, 2012, 9:04 PM

i really am looking forward to these sets and i to am aus but i dont think that the hulks hellicarrier breakout will remain at 100$ because of the close pricing of the quin et but the main point i want to get to is these i think lego have done a way better job with these marvel sets then what they did with the dc versions i still like them but compared to the original batman sets they dont compare they were just great and held true to the batman franchise when as the new ones came out they remade sets but not as good as the pld one and the batcave was uttlery disapointing mean old batcave 2000 plus peces and great minifigs new one 600 pluys in some ways i think lego have stepped back in progress but i also think that they have improved in some ways but any way the new marvel sets look awsome and lego if u noticed have stepped back into the days were they would give us something that would have a little thing in them that would mae us happy like detailed cockpits and head rests on the chairs as displayed in these sets and i hope that they realise that they cant just give us something weve had before and not make it better please share your oppinion on this.

    • admin May 31, 2012, 8:28 AM

Jimmy, nice review, but please use proper punctuation. It is extremely hard to read a gazillion line sentence with no break-up at all. It’s like you weren’t breathing when you wrote it, and it makes my brain hurt! 😕

  • jimmy kelly May 31, 2012, 9:54 AM

hahaha i get sick of tiping so just write it.

  • jimmy kelly May 31, 2012, 9:55 AM

what didu guys think off the dc sets anyway i think the marvel ones are better.

    • admin May 31, 2012, 10:27 AM

Jimmy, yeah, a lot of people say that. 😉

      • YTjedi May 31, 2012, 10:48 AM

Do you think the reason behind it is the interpretation vs replication factor? Since the Marvel sets so far are mainly for The Avengers, those sets are replications of they’re movie counterparts. On the DC side the sets have been mainly Batman related, but they haven’t build replications of any particular movie or scene, but interpretations of them. The Batmobile looks like a Batmobile would look like, but isn’t any one specific Batmobile from a movie or show.

Also, the Batman sets have pretty much been direct re-packs, with modifications in the design. There hasn’t been anything really new there. The Lex Luthor mech set is great though, and I think we’ll see the appeal levels of the DC and Marvel lines even out as more heroes and villains are released on both sides.

        • admin May 31, 2012, 11:11 AM

YTjedi, that’s about the best observation/explanation I have read on the difference between the DC and Marvel sets. I think you are right on the money! 😉

  • jimmy kelly June 7, 2012, 10:20 PM

just got the quin jet arial battle, wolverines chopperher showdown and captain americas avenging cycle. These sets are great much better then the dc ones and i would be interested to here what you think of the dc sets and also what you think of the marvel sets and did you see i used punctuation hahaha.

    • admin June 8, 2012, 8:45 AM

Jimmy, nice haul! Yes, a lot of people say that the Marvel sets are better. Enjoy your new sets! Also, I like your one punctuation. If you sprinkle in a few more, maybe ordinary humans would understand you better. 😉

  • jimmy kelly June 7, 2012, 10:23 PM

    i spelt chopper wrong sorry

  • jimmy kelly June 7, 2012, 10:26 PM

my grandmas stupid dog just tuwed up my thor i hate it now i have to go and find hulks hellicarrieer breakout and buy that

    • admin June 8, 2012, 8:46 AM

That’s awful! Yeah, it is best to keep LEGO away from pets. You might also consider just buying a Thor minifig from Bricklink. Sorry to hear that! 🙁

  • jimmy kelly June 10, 2012, 8:55 AM

    thanks

  • Bryson June 13, 2012, 10:27 PM
