LEGO Minifigures Series 7 – review

by admin on March 27, 2012

in LEGO Minifigures

Many of us haven’t even completed our collection of Series 6 of the Collectible LEGO Minifigures, and Series 7 is already popping up in some countries! It may be a while before Series 7 makes it to your neighborhood retail store (the official release date supposed to be April 1st), so in the meantime you can check out an excellent review with lots of pictures from EuroBricks member WhiteFang from Singapore: LEGO Minifigures Series 7 Review.

The color of the Series 7 minifigures package is dark red, so you should be able to spot them easily once they arrive in stores near you:

Here is a great view of all 16 of the Series 7 Collectible Minifigures:

  1. Swimming Champion the medal is a very nice accessory!
  2. Aztec Warriortotally awesome!
  3. Bunny-Suit Guy – joins the previous costumed guys!
  4. Bride – yes, finally a flower-bunch minifigs can hold!
  5. Ocean King god of the seas!
  6. Bag-Piper – with man-skirt. And the bag-pipe is excellent!
  7. Daredevil – red-white-blue suit. Kinda cool.
  8. Galaxy Patrol – the armor is such a steal from Amazing Armory!
  9. Tennis Playersomeone to pair-up with the previous tennis player!
  10. Jungle Boy - that torso is going to be so useful!
  11. Hippie – love the hair and the tie-dye shirt!
  12. Computer Programmer – just your regular friendly nerd.
  13. Female Viking – nice helmet/hair combo!
  14. Evil Knight – with devilish red eyes and awesome armor details!
  15. Punk Rockershe can join the male punk-rocker from Series 4!
  16. Little Red Riding Hood – so sweet! Nice basket too!

The review goes into great detail on each of the Collectible Minifigures in Series 7. Here are some photos from the review, and if you would like to see more head over to EuroBricks - it is worth it! :D

Another photo from the review that I thought was very helpful is a breakdown of a full box’s content. As you can see; a box of 60 minifigures contains; 3 full sets of 16 minifigures, and 2 extra Galaxy Patrols, Evil Knights, and Jungle Boys, and one extra Hippie, Computer  Programmer, Bag-Piper, Daredevil, Viking Woman, and Tennis Player. The rarest (and probably hardest to find) are going to be the Aztec Warrior, the Ocean King, Red Riding Hood, the Bunny Suit Guy, the Punk Rocker, the Bride, and the Swimmer. With the Aztec Warrior likely being the most wanted.

I have heard from a lot of LEGO fans mentioning that this has been their favorite Collectible Minifigure series to date, as there is not a single unwanted or blah minifigure in the series. Also, it is full of new accessories! My most favorite minifigure from this series is the Bag-Piper, followed closely by the Galaxy Patrol, the Aztec Warrior and the Hippie. What about you? Which one is your favorite minifigure in the Collectible Minifigures Series 7? Share your thoughts in the comment section below! :)

Found some at TRU in Murfreesboro, TN today. $3.49 each so I just got 2. They still have series 5&6. First bag I felt the wedge piece so knew it was a dress. I was hoping for a Viking female. I finally found the sword to confirm it was. The other bag I grabbed I could not id. I haven’t been reading touch guides. I didn’t know what to look for and didn’t have much time so I just decided to chance it. Second bag was jungle boy. But he had two daggers they were still stuck together with the sprune from when they were molded.

Chris, I’m glad you were able to find Series 7! But that price! Ouch! :(

The local TRU had series 6 for $3.49. I passed on them at that price and got them at Target and other places. Barnes and Noble also had them for $3.49. I found a gray alien before I realized the price.
The only time I paid more for a blind bag was at store, that still had series 4 around Christmas. They were 3,99 but that was still cheaper that I could get online.

Yeah, prices have been really going up. But as you said; to pay $3.50-$4.00 for a blind bag is over the top. I decided to be patient and just wait for a store sale or cupon, or until the prices come down on Bricklink. :|

I found a half picked through box at TRU today but I did manage to get a Galaxy Patrol, Ocean King, and Grandma’s Visitor. I’m pleased with them.

Looks like the pricing on these isn’t much different than Series 6. I found numerous boxes of these down at the area Fred Meyer. They were selling for $2.99 each. Bought 3 and ended up with Galaxy Patrol, Jungle Boy and the Bagpiper.

I have recently been in contact with my local lego dealers and they have said that multiple shipments of the packets are most likely to be expected in stores this Friday

I got all 16 minifigures at my lego store on May 6th. Though they said that the sea king was the rarest as there was only one in the box, but hey I got it, so excited. Can’t wait for Lego Lord of the Rings this summer! Use my evil knight in it.
