LEGO City custom modular buildings & vehicles

Are you a LEGO City fan? Do you have your own LEGO City layout where your LEGO minifigs can go about their daily lives? How about being the fortunate owner of the LEGO Modular Buildings? Yeah, those are the ultimate LEGO City sets! 🙂

If you are into LEGO City, I wanted to share with you a unique resource for your LEGO City planning. There is an online store that sells custom LEGO City buildings and vehicles. The store’s name is Accurate Brick Innovations, and their LEGO City buildings and vehicles are really nicely done. Yeah, they are a bit on the pricey side, but if you want only the best for your LEGO minifigs, you might want to check these out.

LEGO CITY VEHICLES BY ACCURATE BRICK INNOVATIONS:

The uniqueness of the Accurate Brick Innovations vehicles is their width. The cabin of the vehicles is 6 studs wide and the body is 8 studs wide. Therefore, they are a lot more accurate than the official LEGO vehicles! There are delivery-trucks, fire-trucks, ambulance-vehicles, S.W.A.T. trucks, armored trucks, limos, and ice-cream trucks – just to name a few from the selection. Here are a few examples of the custom LEGO City vehicles:

One feature of these LEGO City vehicles I personally don’t like so much is that they come fully assembled. This may not be an issue for you at all, but since I like to build, this bugs me a bit. 😐

LEGO CITY BUILDINGS BY ACCURATE BRICK INNOVATIONS:

In my opinion these are some of the nicest LEGO City buildings! They are cute, fun, and accurate to their real-life versions. The line includes restaurants, fast-food chains, retail stores, repair-shops and other iconic and familiar landmarks of any modern city. Here are a few examples of the custom LEGO City buildings currently available:

Cute, huh? I highly recommend you also check out more of Eric Badis’ (a.k.a. tehLEGOman) creations at his Flickr Gallery. There are a lot more really sweet vehicles and buildings not sold in his online store. If you want to build some on your own, his photos are great for ideas and inspiration. And if you would like to see what he has on sale, you can check his online store; Accurate Brick Innovations. Let me know what you think! 😉

Wow, very interesting. Might have to feature this as well 🙂

Yeah, they are great! I particularly like that the vehicles are wider, and therefore more accurate. You can actually seat 2 minifigs inside, instead of just one, like in most LEGO vehicles. The delivery trucks (UPS, USPS, Coca Cola, etc.) are my favorites. And the fast-food restaurants are excellent! Oh, and most of them have removable floors like the Modulars! I forgot to mention that in the post. 😉

Very, very nice. It’s great to see such an engaged and active community, and wonderful info about LEGO too.

Are you a BLOGGER OR A BROWSER cause we ONLY accept Bloggers Charleen 😉

      • admin April 8, 2012, 10:35 AM

Dave, I believe Charleen is just a person who is building backlinks to her website. I delete most of these as they are nothing but spam, but since she at least took the time to figure out what our website is about, I let her thru. A lot of new bloggers who don’t know any better try this technique because they read it in some low quality tutorial. Unfortunately since this is such a spammy technique they will be blocked and branded as spammers by most websites, and if they really annoy a webmaster, their website can be shut down. Anyhow, this is kinda off topic, now back to LEGO. 😉

You are correct that there’s a lot of auto-generated blog spam out there, but being accused of being a spammer is a first for me. I came to this site after reading about Lego thefts at Target and another chain store (I forget which). The odd thing is the two people who were stealing the sets for resale didn’t seem to need the money, they just wanted the sets. I wondered why. I can see there is a lot to this hobby and I still don’t fully comprehend it, but I did have a pleasant few minutes browsing your site. HTH.

Charleen, glad to hear that you are indeed a real person, not a spam-bot. Please don’t take the comments personally. We have a very passionate group of regular readers, and they are protective of the site, which means sometimes new commenters may be looked at with a bit of suspicion. Anyhow, glad to have you back. 😉

As far as the recent LEGO thefts, yeah, they are quite strange. LEGO theft in general is not a new thing and has been going on for years. LEGO is a very popular and relatively expensive toy. But when you read about a person who didn’t need the money or free sets, it makes you wonder… 😐

  • Dave e April 8, 2012, 9:42 AM

  • Luca April 8, 2012, 1:30 PM

    Hi Dave!

  • gid617 April 9, 2012, 12:28 PM

    Those are really neat!!
Although I prefer ninjago, I do like the fact that the cars are built more to scale – that’s always a problem with the real lego city cars!! 😉

  • legosw August 22, 2012, 9:08 PM

I love the mail truck 🙄

  • Håkan, Sweden September 16, 2012, 11:21 AM

They seem to have used stickers in several buildings, and on top of it placed them above several bricks simultaneously. I dislike the technique since you can’t ever disassemble the pieces. I know there have been official sets that used the technique (Fabuland comes to mind), but I find it primitive.

  • SKOUTLAW FOR LIFE September 25, 2012, 7:01 PM

i have the lego taco bell

    • Kayla April 17, 2014, 4:39 AM

you do?! that is so awesome where do you get it from?

  • Eric at A Lego a Day September 26, 2012, 10:35 AM

I love the vehicle scale! Much more realistic than the average Lego model. These are more for the AFOLs out there, than kids I’d imagine.

  • Evan February 11, 2013, 8:43 PM

  • Chris April 29, 2013, 6:31 PM
