in LEGO Minifigures

Time to have an update on the LEGO Minifigure series! There hasn’t been much news since the Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 8 came out earlier this year, but all of a sudden information is surfacing not just on Minifigures Series 9, but also on Series 10 and 11! 😀

No pictures on all of the upcoming LEGO Minifigure series yet, but still I thought it would be a good idea to do a little round-up and see what the future brings. And we can expand on this discussion once more news – and most importantly pictures – surface. According to UK based LEGO fan-site TheDailyBrick.com below is what LEGO Minifigures Series 9, 10 and 11 looks like. Also, Eurobricks member ReZourceman found fairly reliable images of Collectible Minifigures Series 10. Those are the ones you see throughout this post.

So which one of the minifigures are you looking forward the most? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss below! 🙂

A fig with a baseball glove?! Yes! And that sea captain would make a very good Captain Haddock from The Adventures of Tintin. Any fantasy/historical figs are right up my alley, too, so I’m definitely excited about these. The fact that there is a list for Series 11 is also encouraging; I’d heard rumors that they might stop after 10. Let’s hope they keep going!

I believe the LEGO rep said they had minifigs planned through S14. So it looks like they aren’t stopping anytime soon! 😀

This looks like it might actually be the tin soldier’s legs:

Just in case anyone was wondering, these are really just people pieceing pieces from brickset that have not been released so far together – some are very obvous, others (like the librarian, who I doubt has a sweater and a short skirt) aren’t quite so easy.
Anyway, the Painter/Decorater, the Old Man, Sea Captain, and roman all look great! I like the catcher too, and the little dog is cute!

Yes, the images are pieced together from the Brickset database using new, never-before-seen parts, however the lists themselves came first. The parts simply confirm that the lists are genuine. 😉

(I would beg to say that the pieces came first), but yeah, they confirm each other!
Anyway, here are (heavily edited) photos of the backs of the S9 minifigs:

I meant, I think the pieces came first but they are from two different sorces (in other words, the list isn’t based off the pieces). Sorry if that wasn’t quite clear…

Has, regarding the toy soldier,he is the mystery minifigure available with the new minifigure guide book. For some reason he has been pictured and not tomahawk guy. Also warrior lady has a spear, but is pictured with a tomahawk.Hope that helps!

I was wondering when does series 11 come out? Because for grandparents day I’m gonna give them grandpa and grandma but I need the grandma before!!! ANYONE KNOW?!?

Reply

admin August 18, 2013 at 5:39 PM

Amanda, the release of collectible minifigs very much depends on your location. Your best bet to make sure you get one is probably going to be Bricklink or eBay. That way you can make sure you get the exact figure you want, when you want it. Grandparents’ day is early September, isn’t it? So you have about 2-3 weeks… I know they are out in Europe already, so the USA should not be much behind. I would suggest to watch eBay and Bricklink for listings. Worse comes to worse you can just get the grandpa, and you can easily make a grandma with other parts already available. 😉

Jas September 1, 2013 at 5:58 PM

Do you have a list of what going to be in series 12.

Reply

admin September 1, 2013 at 8:03 PM

Jas, series 12 will be characters from the upcoming The LEGO Movie. 😉

Jas September 12, 2013 at 4:49 AM

I just wanted to know if lego shop, are going to take out lego iron man patriot box set ?

Thank you

Reply

admin September 12, 2013 at 10:28 AM

Jas, I’m not sure what you mean by taking out a set. Iron Patriot was never released in a set. It is only available as a promotional polybag if you ordered the LEGO Marver Super Heroes game.
