Wow, I am only the second comment. Sorry I have not commented in a while, things have been busy. My brother watched the show and he said it was funny so I am about to :). I think Chima has great potential it just doesn’t beat Ninjago yet.

That was so funny, it was my favorite so far. Chima’s fight scenes are so cool. When it showed the beavers I just started laughing :).

Has anyone else watched the six Chima shorts yet? They’re viewable on both the Lego site and Youtube, and they are very entertaining. I love it when Krug and Crawley pay Razar to give them flying lessons and he just takes them up in his Raven Raider and then just drops them! 😀 Krug: “We should of bought the insurance!”

Ulta Coolz July 13, 2013 at 12:06 PM

How did you play the game

Reply

admin July 7, 2013 at 10:28 AM

Yes, I know about the game, although I don’t think it has any connection with LEGO Universe. 😉

Fikko3107 July 7, 2013 at 1:57 PM

Nope, not at all. Let me describe the game briefly, and if it generates enough attention, I’ll probably write an article about it…

Right, So when you start the game, You are allowed to choose your tribe. Unfortunately, at this point, you are only able to play as the “good” tribes of Chima, unlike most other MMOs. In conclusion, you can play as a Lion,an Eagle,a Gorilla or a Bear. (This kind of hints the Bear’s allegiance.)

Once you pick a tribe, you get to customize it, albeit not to the extent as most MMOs and LEGO Universe; you simply get to change some colours, such as a Red, Orange or Brown mane for the lions, a Dark Blue, Black or White color for the gorillas, etc.

When you start the game, Laval will guide you to most of the basic gameplay aspects, such as moving, combat, Chi-Up, etc. At which point he leaves you to manage your very own outpost, like your land, where you can build buildings that have a practical use such as generating studs, building weapons, etc. All in all it’s not unlike those freemium iPad/iPhone games and Facebook games (You know, when the game is free but you need to buy a premium currency to really enjoy the game?) that revolves in creating your own world. There’s even a “premium currency” in this game: Gold Bricks, despite at this point being not purchasable.

I believe the rest of the game basically involves you building up your outpost, going to the wild and fighting lots and lots of crocs, getting new equipments and gear and doing missions, given to you by various people such as Lothar, a lion captain, whose early missions teaches more gameplay aspects. All missions rewards you somehow, and some missions even takes you head to head against bosses…(although the first two bosses is a really puny Crawley!)

Well I guess that’s the gist of it; oh, I almost forgot, you don’t get to make your name. You are supposed to create a name from combining 3 words from a given list, not unlike the naming system of LEGO Universe and Hero Recon Team. Also, chatting with other players are constantly moderated by a living, breathing moderating team like the official LEGO message boards.

The Premiere of The LOC TV show was The same episode they showed last.It wasn’t the video you posted here.Lego why did you show a re run.

Reply

admin July 11, 2013 at 11:32 AM

Cole, that was expected as the previous episodes were shown so long ago. It made sense to rerun them for people who are just starting to watch, or for those who forgot what the previous episodes were about. 😉

This is one of the best episode in Chima in my opinion. They should make more episodes just like this!

Chimafan August 5, 2013 at 10:32 AM

i found and watched episode 5 and 6 and put them on my site if you would like to put them on this site i’ll give you the ULRs

admin August 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM

Yes, I have those already. But I prefer YouTube over Dubbed-Scene, so I was waiting for LEGOAsia to upload them. It doesn’t seem to be the case so I will go with the Dubbed-Scene ones sometime this week. Probably Wednesday or Thursday. 😉

ok

Reply

Chimafan August 6, 2013 at 12:30 PM

i just usually like to use other kinds because sometimes Youtube erases them

Reply

admin August 6, 2013 at 7:59 PM

Yes, but YouTube loads faster. So there is plusses and minuses for all of them. 🙄

Reply

Chimafan August 7, 2013 at 10:07 AM

doesn’t really matter i just get what ever comes out first

Reply

admin August 7, 2013 at 9:04 PM

Yeah, that works too. I have done that also with some of the Ninjago episodes; just get the first one, even if it is not the best quality, then just change it later when a better one is available. 😉

Reply

Chimafan September 4, 2013 at 10:10 AM

actually the real reason i don’t use youtube as much is because it buffers alot on my computer and instead of being a 20m video it’s like a 40m video

Reply

admin September 4, 2013 at 12:02 PM

Hm… that seems to be an issue with your internet connection, as YouTube videos always play seamlessly. I watch movies there all the time and never ran into any slowness.
