We have talked about LEGO apps before, and as Apple and Android devices continue to dominate the market we can expect more. Most LEGO apps are just a fun way to expand the LEGO hobby when we are away from our brick-collection, and some even serve useful purposes (LEGO instructions, LEGO set and minifigure databases, etc.). Today I would like to show you a new LEGO app that is definitely in the fun category. The app is called Mini Mi. 🙂
I will let Troy Spracklin, the creator of this LEGO app to tell you all about it: It is with great pleasure that after 7 long months of late nights, early mornings and work filled weekends, we proudly introduce Mini Mi to you all. So now you ask, what is Mini Mi? Mini Mi is a little app that lets users create and share their own custom minifig likeness. Tap, double tap, swipe and shake to your hearts content as there is much to discover. In fact, at last count we calculated 3,805,928,543,217,530,000,000 (three sextillion, eight hundred five quintillion, nine hundred twenty-eight quadrillion, five hundred forty-three trillion, two hundred seventeen billion, five hundred thirty million) possible configurations, with a few other surprises!
The Mini Mi LEGO app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5. Mini Mi is available as a free download, and you can also purchase expansion packs. So far it has great feedback. If you would like to try out Mini Me, you can download it at the Apple iTunes store: Download Mini Mi
So what do you think? Did you try out Mini Mi yet? Did you have fun? Are there any other LEGO apps that you really like? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below! 😉

Dear Benny the Padawan of the Grand Army,
Ask and you shall receive. Look for it in the next update coming very soon! It’ll be added to the base pack, because YOU requested it.

For some reason mine came with all the packs… No purchases necessary!
lucky 😛 why wasn’t mine like that :,( ! what is ur fave pack Im gonna buy one so the app goes on longer and get more people
Hey Troy I love this app and could literally spend hours on it! Btw, is it too much to ask for you to include some of those chrome blue Life on Mars astronaut helmets and faces? Thanks a lot!
Benny & Hafu,
We plan to add more expansion packs as soon as we can, including a Martial Arts pack that would likely incude ninja stuff. There will also be more space packs too.
Lego zebra, were you one of our beta testers? That might be why you got all the packs unlocked.
I don’t think so… Just got it when I saw the recommendation on this site… Great app though I love it!
I just opened the app (seems awesome btw), and I tapped the info button.
One of the three producers has a LED ZEPPELIN shirt! Am I able to give my Minifig one??? 😛
why is every thing for apple products and not Samsung now I am sad 🙁
This looks really cool! I’ll have to get a new iPod and download it. Most of the other LEGO apps I’ve seen weren’t the best (I do like the Ninjago apps though) but this one seems really promising!
App looks brilliant! Are there any plans for an Android version though?
As far as I know it is in the works. 😉
My kids are going to love this! Thanks!
Lori, you are welcome. 😉
Several months ago Apple hit 50 billion apps downloaded and Apple is worth about $500 billion. Trillion comes up next!
1# APPLE FAN!
Troy the Goatee face is cool! But why the blue eye liner? Can you remove it please.
Can you make Mini Mi for Symbian. It would really be appreciated 😉
there is a problem I’ve been having with the app, after a while the hair stops changing colour. could you please fix that in the next update?
This is my first time at this site
Does this App still exist? Looking for something to make custom digital minifigs.
Doesn’t seem like it. The link now takes to the main Apple Store page.
I try to download it but it keeps bringing me to an app called apple music. It has nothing to do with lego. And it won’t let me do anything else.
Silver, this article is from 2013. It appears that the app is no longer available.
Hello, I have an I-phone, but it doesn’t show the « Mini Mi » app on the I-phone App. Any solutions? Thanks Nico
Nico, this is an old article from seven years ago. It’s likely that the app is no longer available.
