There are three new LEGO Friends sets I wanted to show you today. The big thing this summer is the LEGO Friends Pop Star sets, and they are great, but there are some other, smaller sets as well that are worthy of your attention. So let’s take a look. 🙂

#41108 LEGO FIRENDS HEARTLAKE FOOD MARKET: Sell and deliver fresh and healthy food to everyone in Heartlake City! Pick your fresh produce at the Heartlake Food Market! Help Maya run the store and bake fresh cookies every morning to sell to her customers. Check the orders you receive on the computer and deliver them with the scooter all over Heartlake City. Today Mia has come to the store—help her find and weigh the best looking vegetables and pick up fresh flowers, juice, milk and homemade marmalade. Then sit down with Maya for a yummy cake and refreshing drink in her apartment just above the store. At the end of the day, close the cute windows shutters and let Maya’s cat in before she settles down for the night in her attic bedroom. Includes Mia and Maya mini-doll figures, plus a cat. 388 pieces. Price: $39.99 – BUY HERE

#41108 LEGO Friends

It seems LEGO is realizing that fans really like grocery stores and other such everyday places. LEGO designers did an excellent job with the #10684 LEGO Juniors Supermarket, and this time we get a food market in the LEGO Friends line. The set is absolutely lovely with many beautiful and even rare pieces, and is perfect not just for a LEGO Friends layout, but also fits well in any LEGO City setting. You can see the details of the store and the little apartment on the second floor in the video review below. I highly recommend this set. There is really nothing not to like. 😀

#41098 LEGO FRIENDS EMMA’S TROURIST KIOSK: Sell vacation essentials to the tourists in Heartlake City! Run the busy Tourist Kiosk with Emma! Sell sunscreen, sweets, drinks and postcards to visitors. They can mail their letters right in the kiosk’s mailbox. Help them choose the coolest glasses for their holidays as they turn the accessories stand. Then skate off with Emma on her rollerblades at the end of her shift. Includes an Emma mini-doll figure. 98 pieces. Price: $9.99 – BUY HERE

#41098 LEGO Friends

This is only a $10 set, but there is so much going for it! First of all, you get four (plus one extra) of those new and extremely useful translucent 1×1 round tiles with pin. You also get two tan color 1×1 bricks with that fancy Ionic column design. This is a brand new piece that only appears (to date) in tan in this one set. The #41101 LEGO Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel also has this piece, but in pearl-gold. You also get the still pretty rare roller-skates in orange, and a couple of new printed tiles that only appear in larger sets (no stickers in this set – everything you see with a design is printed). So yes, if you add up all the rare and new pieces, and you consider the price, this set is hard to beat. Plus it looks good as it is.

#41099 LEGO FRIENDS HEARTLAKE SKATE PARK: Show off some cool skating moves with Mia and her dog at the Heartlake Skate Park! Grab your board and head to the Skate Park with Mia and her dog Charlie! Practice all the latest tricks on the half pipe and play your favorite tunes on the stereo. Grab a cold drink from the vending machine while you take a break and teach Charlie to skate on the ramp before rewarding him with a nice juicy bone. What a cool pup! At the end of an awesome session, switch Mia’s board for rollerblades so she can skate away pulling her dog on the skateboard. Includes a Mia mini-doll figure plus a dog. 199 pieces. Price: $19.99 – BUY HERE

#41099 LEGO Friends

This set has a working vending machine! That’s all I have to say. It is just too awesome. Watch the video review below to see how it works! (Please note that the video-player includes reviews for all three sets. Use the drop down list to pick the review you would like to watch, or just let them all play.)

We will be discussing the other new LEGO Friends sets soon as well, but I wanted to point out these three separately because they don’t really belong to any particular collection and can easily get lost amongst the myriad of other new sets. They are definitely great sets to consider. You can find them (along with the other new sets) under the LEGO Friends section of the Online LEGO Shop.
