LEGO Dimensions fun new teaser-trailers!

LEGO is gearing up for the release of second phase of LEGO Dimensions sets with a bunch of teaser-trailers highlighting the new franchises that will be added to the line. As we have discussed previously (see links at the end of this post), LEGO already revealed several of the upcoming packs, including: the LEGO Ghostbusters Story Pack, various LEGO Dimensions Adventure Time Packs, the LEGO Dimensions Harry Potter Team Pack, the LEGO Dimensions Mission: Impossible Level Pack, the LEGO Dimensions The A-Team Fun Pack, the LEGO Dimensions Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, the LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts Story Pack and Fun Pack, the LEGO Dimensions Gremlins: Gizmo and Stripe Team Pack, and the LEGO Dimensions E.T. The Extra-Terrestal Fun Pack. 🙂

LEGO Dimensions Year Two

The first trailer you will see below introduces the LEGO Dimensions Battle Arenas, which is a new feature to LEGO Dimensions that allows multiple players. The other videos in the playlist include trailers to the various new franchises that will be released soon. Enjoy!

Exciting, isn’t it? I particularly like E.T. and his cute wobbly walk. Can’t wait to get him in minifig form! And there are so many other new characters! While we are waiting for the new LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs and gaming experience, you might want to catch up on the previous waves. The packs are available at various retailers as well as directly from LEGO: LEGO DIMENSIONS AT THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP

Amazon also got a very helpful dedicated page just for LEGO Dimensions, where you can find all versions of the Starter Pack for different gaming systems, and all the Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs (add-on packs work with all systems). Amazon has many of the packs on sale, so you usually get a better deal, plus you can combine your purchase with non-LEGO items: LEGO DIMENSIONS ON AMAZON

So what do you think? How do you like the second year of LEGO Dimensions Packs? What do you think of the new franchises and game expansions? Do you play the game, or do you only collect the unique minifigs and accessories? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

It’s amazing the licenses they are digging up from nostalgic obscurity here. I mean I totally understood when they made use of licenses they already had due to the Ideas sets, but Dimensions is going far beyond just those.

Not disapproving, it’s just very interesting.

Also wondering when they’ll announce Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney characters, which seems inevitable now that Disney Infinity is done. Maybe in a year when all the Infinity stuff has actually worked its way through the clearance bins.

Hoping for Nexo Knights to show up, after all they did Ninjago and Chima. Would love to see Elves too!

Yes, it is interesting, and I’m curious to see how well they will do with this strategy. I actually hardly ever hear from people who play the game. It is mostly folks who collect the packs for the minifigs.

Is this all that’s made of the “Fantastic Beasts” license?… And I was willing to make a small wager on it becoming a full-fledged theme… Seemed a perfect brand fit…

(On the other hand, apparently there are plans for a trilogy up until 2020, so maybe Lego still bides its time, somewhat…)

Having recently purchased the Lego Dimensions, I am thoroughly enjoying playing the game. It is a brilliant game, and certainly gets the old grey matter working! I’ve a lot of catching up to do buying the earlier wave level packs, but I like the Sonic the Hedgehog (probably because I’ve always loved Sonic games) & Mission Impossible level packs. E.T. is cute lol.

Personally, I like the nostalgia that some of these packs bring e.g. I loved watching the A Team & Knight Rider episodes. However, I think most people who play the game, will have to pick and choose which packs they want, otherwise it will be very expensive to buy every single pack.

A tad disappointing that Supergirl is a PS4 starter set exclusive till March 2017. But as long as she eventually becomes available normally, I can live with it.

      Yeah, hope that’s the case.
