LEGOLAND Florida bus sighting…

So, yesterday we were driving home from the beach, and ran into this convoy of buses on the highway. There were a total of 9 buses, and 7 sheriff’s vehicles escorting them with flashing lights. All going well below the speed-limit.

These are obviously not tour-buses to LEGOLAND, as LEGOLAND Florida won’t be opening until the fall. Although if they were going to maintain their speed  the whole way it might take them that long. 😆

Any guesses who they might be? 😉

Definitely! This is the most likely scenerio! 8)

Which way were they going? And on what highway?

    • admin June 19, 2011, 1:43 PM

Going South, somewhere between Jacksonville and Gainesville.

They were picking up people to come to the Toy and Plastic Brick Museum in Ohio. Sorry, I thought it would be more dramatic with a police escort! Dan

LOL! Dan, I would believe you, but they were going the other way!

hehe. Cannot wait for one of those big puppies to show up at my place.

I will cut and past a pic with the bus in front of our Atlas to my bud Tormod in Denmark!

Day later I am sure I will get yet another letter from LEGO Legal. Gotta love those! Dan

    On another note!

Brick World was a blast! Shame LEGO did not do more at the auction! I am glad I decided to sponsor the auction this year! I like making a positive difference! With my help they met and surpassed their goals!

    I know there’s a manager’s convention, but I think that’s up in Connecticut.

Not sure what’s going on, but it’s cool to see all those buses. 🙂

A LLFL Bus was spotted in DC recently. A member of WamaLTC snapped photos of it. I doubt the ambassadors were aboard, but y’all just keep dreamin.

Mike, I actually found out a couple of days later that the buses carried school-kids from Florida to visit Washington D.C. They were on their way home when I snapped these shots.
So the bus the WamaLTC member snapped photos of in D.C. was likely the same bus! The bus had nothing to do with LEGOLand Florida. It is just an advertisement. Mistery solved! 😛

That’s a paraphrased lyric from a Lou Reed song, Last Great American Whale.

    • admin July 28, 2011, 1:34 PM

Mike, that’s an awesome song! I have never heard of it before, but I just listened to it on YouTube! 🙂

That song makes me yearn for the MTV of old, when they still showed music videos. But at the risk of veering off topic, I will leave it at that.

No problem, Mike! Music and LEGO goes well together! 😉
