LEGO stop-motion video: Bricks of War

A topic that I would like to cover sometime in the future is LEGO stop motion videos (also known as brickfilms). In the meantime here is an excellent brickfilm for LEGO and Gears of War fans called “Bricks of War”, made by Alex Kobbs from Kooberz Studios.

At least for me the particularly interesting part is this second, behind-the-scenes video of how the Bricks of War film was made. It gives a really good idea of the brickfilm-making process, and it may inspire you to try your own LEGO stop motion video! 😎

Alex Kobbs is a professional animator and LEGO enthusiast. He is well-know for mixing his love for LEGO and gaming in his popular LEGO stop motion videos. His films are very popular with both gamers and LEGO fans alike. You can check out his blog here: Kooberz Studios, or visit him on FaceBook: Kooberz Studios Page. And of course you can share your thoughts below. 😉

I saw it, it’s great video. And if you remember some Gears of War levels it’s even more awesome. 🙂

Yes, I know! It follows the game pretty closely as far as I understand! 😀

I love the way the camera twists around and stuff. I’ve never played the game so I wouldn’t know how close to it it is, but It did feel video game-esk.
And I’m gonna have to try that use of plugging the camera right into the laptop next time I make a brickfilm.

    that’s a great video.
I like that in the making video it is sped up to show fast Lego building.
it’s cool that there are explosions.
