Although Halloween is over, I wanted to share with you a short video that was posted on LEGO’s YouTube Channel this past week. It is a cute little story for Halloween, but what really caught my eye is how nicely the #10228 LEGO Haunted House lines up with the other LEGO Modular Buildings. Check it out! 🙂
In the video you mainly see various versions of the #10218 LEGO Modular Pet Shop, with the #10211 LEGO Modular Grand Emporium sign in the distance, and hints to some of the other sets like the #10224 LEGO Modular Town Hall and the #10197 LEGO Modular Fire Brigade.)
Cute video, huh? Even though the LEGO Haunted House appears under the LEGO Monster Fighters theme, ever since I have first seen it I was wondering how it would look with the LEGO Modular Buildings line. And sure enough, it is a perfect match. 😈
The current LEGO Modular Buildings line includes seven sets, with one new set added each year (at least that’s how it has been so far). The above picture by Ben Pillen shows the whole line-up next to each other. (See larger picture here: LEGO Modular Street by Ben Pillen)
Although in the video the LEGO Haunted House is put right in the middle of the city, I would add it to the end of the street… like the odd abandoned house down the lane, where the neighborhood turns spooky. What do you think? Have you tried this yet with your own LEGO city? 😉

Haha! 😆 Poor butler, I’ll bet he was annoyed by those kids. 😀
Awesome! For this particular video, and the way it was done, it makes sense for the house to be where it was. If I was doing a large display at home, I would but it at the end of the road. It could be the bad part of town.
I’m dating myself here, but from the outside the Lego Haunted house is pretty much how I always envisioned Boo Radley’s house would look like in To Kill A Mockingbird – spiderwebs, crooked shutters, and all.
Arhur, that’s a great idea! 😈
Finally! I’m in NJ, so hurricane Sandy came and that’s when all the electricity went out! I was without electricity for more than a week! Honestly, I was bored to death and I had to survive off my booklight. I’m not even on the computer right now. I’m using my kindle at a friend’s house and I can’t even watch the video posted here because I don’t have flash player on my kindle. Aaaaaaaaah! 😥
I miss CA, and my old home, my old friends, my old church, my old school, the palm trees, the mild weather(honestly, I’m freezing to to death out here), and the In-n-outs. And especially the electricity. The longer the time without it, the longer the extreme boredom, and the more thankful I am to have had electricity especially since some countries can’t afford electricity.
Xi, I am so sorry you are having to through all this stress. But you are not alone . Things will get better. Why did you leave CA? I am from SF and now live in Texas. I would do anything to get back. ( Well almost) I miss the earthquakes lol . Do you have your Lego’s with you? Good luck..
Is nobody going to answer around here?! I finally come back to TBB, and no one knows my predicament? 👿
HaHa. . . you’d probably be better off here. . .

Anyway, yeah, electricity going off is really annoying! Can’t remember being without it for a week, but after the earthquake last febuary (2010), we didn’t have electricity for quite a while!
Something about the Zombie out back is super funny
