LEGO Legends of Chima TV show tonight!

Just a reminder that the LEGO Legends of Chima TV show is going to air tonight on Cartoon Network at 7/6 Central, so don’t miss it! ๐Ÿ™‚

LEGO Legends of Chima Premier

You can watch the trailer below, and here is the description: “From the creators of Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu comes the special event that will have you say: dude! It’s the first three episodes of Chima back to back with the never-before-seen Premier, and your friends will all be watching. The Legends of Chima special event; Wednesday, March 27th at 7/6 Central. Only on Cartoon Network.”

So as you can see, the first 2 episodes of Legends of Chima will be replayed, then the third, never-before-seen episode will be aired afterwards. Exciting, huh? What will be the schedule of future episodes is not yet known.

LEGO Legends of Chima on Cartoon Network

I don’t know what’s up with all the “dude” thing, but it seems like we will see plenty of the gorilla tribe and the third episode should be quite fun. At least I hope so! What do you think? ๐Ÿ˜›

Also, I should mention that LEGO just discounted all of the LEGO Legends of Chima Speedorz sets. With the current double VIP point promotion these end up being a sweet deal. SEE DETAILS & BUY HERE

Neat, that’ll be fun. My family cancelled our cable so we don’t get TV shows (just because there is so much junk out there) but I can watch online in a week or two. I kind of broke away from Chima in favor of other themes but the show is still fun to watch. I really like the gorillas so the third episode should have a lot of good stuff for me.

Hey Admin r u a girl, i jist wanted too no cause i m ging to comment an i wan too no.

    • admin March 27, 2013, 10:58 AM

Kaidude, yes, I’m a girl. Please, show some respect and check your spelling! I’m not requesting perfection, but taking the time to check your spelling indicates that you are considerate of the time of others. As a LEGO fan I know you are smarter than this. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Kaidude March 27, 2013, 11:05 AM

Sorry about the mispellings i was trying to write fast cause I needed to do some stuff. Anyway if your a girl why is your profile picture a boy? It has to be a boy cause if it was not lego wouldn’t have shown the boobs.

        • admin March 27, 2013, 12:14 PM

Kaidude, I have no idea what you are talking about. My profile picture is a picture of me. My avatar is the LEGO crash-test dummy. ๐Ÿ™„

wow your a girl i can not beleve this sory i just thaht that you were a boy and why do you like lego galixy sqad if you are a girl i mean lego made lego frends for girls

            • admin March 27, 2013, 2:59 PM

LOL! I hope you are not serious. Otherwise this is one of the most sexist statement I have ever heard. It’s like saying, “You are a girl. Why are you wearing jeans? Skirts are made for girls.” Or, “You are a girl. Why do you want to be doctor? You should just get married and serve your family.” Or, “You are a girl. Why do you like blue? You should wear pink like Barbie.” LEGO is a gender-neutral creative medium. Girls have been building with LEGO for decades. Some of the best Technic, Mindstorms, Castle and Space builders are girls. Anyway, I really hope you were only joking. ๐Ÿ™„

              • robin hood March 27, 2013, 4:30 PM

sory i was just relly surprised that you were a girl

I guess I was a bit surprised…but no offense I had just thought you were a boy. Anyway sorry about Kaidude. I showed him this site and before I knew it he was firing off comments. I’ll have to tell him this is a respectable site, not one to be nasty on.

                • admin March 28, 2013, 11:31 AM

Strider, thanks! I put your account under moderation for caution. It is best to keep your computer (or whatever you are using) for yourself otherwise their reputation can follow you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hm… it’s probably best if we nip this in the bud. This is a family-friendly site and I intend to keep it that way. ๐Ÿ™„

What!! I mean come on Chima v Ninjago……..CHIMA WIN!!!!!

  • Xi ninja March 27, 2013, 10:50 AM

Chima is boring compared to ninjago in my opinion. *Yawn* The plot is so predictable.

  • gid617 March 27, 2013, 11:30 AM

Hadn’t realized it was so soon! Should be interesting to watch, I didn’t particularly like the first two episodes, but looks like this one might be better. Looks like the Gorillas have some more interaction which should be neat.

    • admin March 27, 2013, 12:23 PM

Yeah, the first two episodes were pretty lame. I’m really not understanding what LEGO is trying to achive with such a linear and utterly predictable story. I’m sure the show will be fun to watch as the animation is good, but the story is so boring it’s painful. This is definitely a step back from the interesting twists and turns of Ninjago. Also, Chima seems to be targeting much younger kids then the Ninjago fan crowd. Talking animals?! That’s so for 4-year olds! Also, I have no idea why they are delaying the episodes so much. The Chima sets have been out since last year, and with no story-line I’m not sure how well they sell. Maybe that’s why the sale right now on the Speedorz sets. I hope there is an actual reason behind all of this that we don’t see as of yet, instead of LEGO being totally spaced out. I would really like to like Chima, but so far I’m not convinced. ๐Ÿ˜•

      • gid617 March 27, 2013, 1:14 PM

It does seem like a different company is doing the show (M2Film, or something like that), so that could have something to do with the storyline. But then too, that could have been more or less a set-up, and now that we know all the necessary background information, the rest of the show will have less predictability (I would hope). And yeah, I agree that from a business standpoint it would seem like showing the episodes more frequently would be much better for sales.
I do think Chima will continue to target younger kids, under 10 or even 8 really seems to be the age range, because Ninjago appeals to a lot of 10-15 yr-olds, it would appear, and since LEGO has said they will continue with Ninjago, it makes sense that they would target the two at different age ranges.

        • admin March 27, 2013, 3:03 PM

That’s actually a really interesting point about LEGO consciously targeting Chima for younger kids. It does make sense. Although they did say that Chima is replacing Ninjago, which seems to indicate they were attempting to target the same age-group. Anyway, whatever it may be, if Chima does appeal to younger kids and older kids prefer Ninjago, then we should all be happy next year with the return of Ninjago. The animals and ninja can co-exist peacefully and live happily ever after. ๐Ÿ˜€

          • gid617 March 27, 2013, 5:53 PM

Yeah, it would seem like LEGO wanted to target the same audience, and that might have something to do with the fact that they had decided to cancel Ninjago and then later they had what seemed like a last minute decision to continue it (after realizing that the Ninjago fan group was more than their typical action theme fan group and that they might not all transfer to Chima as well as was (possibly) expected).

            • admin March 27, 2013, 6:02 PM

              Yeah, likely that’s what happened…

            • Chi Wolf March 28, 2013, 9:04 AM

That maybe it but if so you would expect less diffrecult sets (Heck the Lion temple looks like it is modular set!)

              • gid617 March 29, 2013, 8:19 AM

No offence but the Lion temple really doesn’t look that difficult to me. Of course I haven’t looked at it too closely, but it doesn’t seem any more (possibly even less) complicated than most of LEGO’s Action Theme $100 sets.

        • Chi Wolf March 28, 2013, 8:56 AM

Just a note I’m 10 and I think that Ninjago is dumb (I mean what the hell RED Ninja’s!!) Terrible for stealth and I have a freind who thinks the same! So I would say that maybe LEGO Chima’s target audeince is not what the real audeince is is…

      • Legoman640 March 27, 2013, 4:51 PM

        So thundercats……

  • Fikko3107 March 27, 2013, 1:17 PM

Am I the only one hoping these supposedly “preview” episodes are simply nothing more than sneak peeks, and the REAL TV show coming in the summer will be leagues better?

And I can’t believe the amounts of criticism this show has received in Eurobricks…Someone even state that the show was made to appeal 5 year old biker gangs!

But personally, I have nothing against it, the zoo morphism was really the appeal to me for these sets. But being the video collector that I am, I have got to find these…

And excuse me while I denounce Cartoon Network Asia.

    • admin March 27, 2013, 3:06 PM

I think all of us are hoping that what you are saying is true and these are nothing more then sneak-peeks with something better to follow. Otherwise Chima is going to turn into a major let-down. ๐Ÿ˜•

I like the show as the animation is great, but the story is nothing even close to Ninjago. If Chima was indeed meant to replace Ninjago, LEGO has made a major mistake.

      • Fikko3107 March 28, 2013, 12:10 AM

You know what admin? I expected Cragger to have a more imposing voice…Instead, we get a voice that reminds me of Berix from Bionicle: The Legend Reborn.

And the voice acting of most characters here have been the most criticized LEGO voice acting after Kiina’s “Woohoo!”

People also complains that Laval have no character flaws. He’s a poorly built character, people say, but unlike Kai, for example, who had to overcome a few personal conflicts, like acceptance that he’s not the green ninja, Laval doesn’t seem like he has any room to grow.

If you ask me, the only thing fans like about this so far is:
        1. Clarification of the pronunciation of “Chi” and “Chima”.
        2. The 0.001% chance we’ll get an awesome molded LEGO Legend Beast.

These are all not my own personal views. My standards are actually pretty low, So I for one have no complains.

        • Legoman640 March 29, 2013, 9:27 AM

I’m a fan of space themes and such so this isn’t exactly my type. Galaxy Squad,Star Wars,Bionicle, and Hero Factory seems like the ones for me. (and probably some creator set that have houses and minifigs.)

  • darkon March 27, 2013, 3:37 PM

Hey guys! I just got a new laptop so I should be able to comment more often! ๐Ÿ˜€ Yeah, I’m really excited about Chima tonight! By the way, I’m not sure why people are surprised that admin’s a girl. Girls can use the internet too you know! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • NRG PYTHOR March 27, 2013, 6:21 PM

I actualy am not going to watch this. I still think Ninjago as better.

  • Chelsea March 27, 2013, 7:20 PM

Really? Chima stinks! I wish ninjago wouldn’t have left, I love that show! :'(

    • Chi Wolf March 28, 2013, 9:19 AM

CHIMA STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really? What about this NINJAGO STINKS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Legoman640 March 27, 2013, 7:23 PM

I’m not exactly interested in Chima but I do have something to say to Admin regarding other post. As mentioned before, the mini figure series is no longer in my country. And also regarding the brick master books,I got a star wars one which I get from my local bookstore ๐Ÿ™‚ But unfortunately they don’t sell those books anymore due to theft of mini figures. ๐Ÿ™ But a friend of mine works at a bookstore and may be able to get me a discount! ๐Ÿ˜€ Now everyone’s happy!

    • admin March 28, 2013, 11:55 AM

Yeah, theft of the book-minifigs are an issue here as well. Maybe not as bad as where you are, but definitely a problem. Hope you are able to get a discount thru your friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Legoman640 March 27, 2013, 8:30 PM

Dude is a language in gorilla, cool!

    • Fikko3107 March 28, 2013, 12:25 AM

Legoman640; Where do you live? Even in a place like Indonesia where I live you can buy minifigures, albeit one and a half times more expensive.

And yes, Dude is gorilla-speak. They’ve certainly become my favorites. They seem to be modeled on Hippies. Someone says their somewhat (double meaning, kids, If you don’t get it, just be patient, you’ll get it when you’re older.) “High”.

      • Legoman640 March 29, 2013, 9:31 AM

LOL!!! ๐Ÿ˜† I live in Nassau. By the way,i’m not paying $20 for a small set over here. (note to self,by most lego online….)

        • Fikko3107 March 29, 2013, 10:22 AM

Define small. Down here, we’re paying $3 per minifigure, $6 per impulse set,$30 per Rocka XL sized HF Titan and $500 for a mindstorms NXT 2.0.

          • Legoman640 March 30, 2013, 9:13 AM

We don’t have the collectable minifigure series over here,$20 or less for impulse sets(impulse sets are small sets right?),only Hero Factory over(Jawblade and other people cost like $20)and no Mindstorms are over here(though in some schools have engineering in which they use mindstorms ….).

  • Brick Boy March 27, 2013, 9:21 PM

I watched the newest episode only. I’m sorry to bring this up again, but i’m glad to see that there are not only boy LEGO fans! Now I can marry a LEGO fan(just kidding)
    -Brick Boy

    • Fikko3107 March 28, 2013, 12:26 AM

Brick boy; Or at least, A LEGO Fan to be, such as in Will and Sarah’s case right?

  • Brick Boy March 28, 2013, 8:12 AM

(Admin)Do you have a MOCpages account?
    I do! -Brick Boy

    • admin March 28, 2013, 11:19 AM

I used to, but then I deleted it. I also have a Brickshelf account, but also dormant. I pretty much focus on flickr only.

      • gid617 March 28, 2013, 4:46 PM

Do you upload much to Flickr? I do know you’re pretty active (you have a ton of galleries!), but I haven’t seen you upload anything that recently.

        • admin March 28, 2013, 8:04 PM

I’m not very patient with taking pictures. I rather just build. Right now I have been adding a few more armies (trolls, Amazons and Aztecs) – not finished yet as some of the minifig parts are so hard to get. I’m just waiting for the prices to come down. I have been also working on perfecting my Galaxy Squad Orange Team ship, and building another one with a mech. And making a better dojo for my ninja. And a few other smaller projects here and there. ๐Ÿ˜€

          • gid617 March 29, 2013, 7:58 AM

Yeah, I agree, photographing can be quite a challenge especially the bigger you get! Sounds like you’ve got some pretty cool projects there! Do you keep most of what you make built? I have to cannibalize my creations all the time… ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜‰

            • Legoman640 March 29, 2013, 9:33 AM

              Same here….

              • Legoman640 March 29, 2013, 9:33 AM

By the way I have a Flickr account too.

            • admin March 29, 2013, 11:01 AM

I don’t keep small doodles usually, but yeah, I do keep all the larger stuff. When I was a kid I did the same as you, and it always broke my heart to take apart stuff I worked so hard to design and build. One advantage of being an adult is that I can keep what I build. ๐Ÿ™„

BTW, I don’t have super huge LEGO collection (well, some people say that, but nothing compared to other AFOLs). I have a good selection of parts I can build up a concept, and once the design is ready I just buy the parts I need in proper colors on Bricklink. ๐Ÿ˜‰

              • gid617 March 29, 2013, 12:27 PM

Yes, at first it was hard to break things apart so soon… but I got used to it eventually. Still is hard to take apart one that I think was really great!

                • admin March 29, 2013, 12:55 PM

I guess if you take good pictures you can always re-build them when you have more play-money to work with. BTW, I saw your ship today. It is totally awesome! ๐Ÿ˜€

                  • gid617 April 2, 2013, 8:42 AM

                    Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚
Another reason I wreck my things up is because I often borrow quite a bit from my brothers. For example I only have 26 of those brown 1×4 tiles, but my brother has 100+ (I used all but one on that ship though… ๐Ÿ˜› ).

                    • admin April 2, 2013, 10:25 AM

I can understand that. You have awesome brothers. I was not so generous as a kid. Especially not with tiles. ๐Ÿ™„

                    • gid617 April 2, 2013, 2:11 PM

Lol, yes they are quite generous… though I do think they hope it pays off! ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s certainly very nice though as it means I have access to at least double what I actually have in my collection!

I’m the same as Worriz vs Furty and Chi Wolf.

  • darkon March 28, 2013, 12:13 PM

I think the problem is that when Lego takes a product and turns it into a TV series they tend to dumb it down a lot. It sort of ruins the concept that lego sets and figures can be anything your imagination wants them to be. By making the characters lame or at least uninteresting in the TV series Lego sort of makes them look that way in the sets. I know the depiction of the Snakemen in NinjaGo as slow and stupid kind of ruined any ideas I had about them when I first saw the sets. ๐Ÿ™

    • admin March 28, 2013, 1:33 PM

Hm… that’s actually a really good point. But it has been happening to all toys. Actually now that I think about it; almost all products. Intead of people being encouraged to use their imagination, everything is handed to them in an instand gratification package. LEGO used to enrourage imagination with alternate models in almost all sets. Now only the Creator sets include alternate builds. It is sad, but it is the fault of the larger cultural trend we live in. The good thing about LEGO is that you can always ignore the back-stories and TV series and still like a theme and just build whatever you want. But yeah, it does take extra effort. ๐Ÿ˜•

I think what I liked best about episode 3 of Chima was Gorzan trying to protect the flower. That was really funny! ๐Ÿ˜€ I also liked it when he threw the wolf tank up in the air and then punched it so it went flying into the others. That was pretty cool.

    • admin March 28, 2013, 4:13 PM

I also really liked Gorzan. He was way too cute, but also really powerful. After watching the show I understand all that “dude” thing better. ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Fikko3107 March 29, 2013, 10:25 AM

I don’t. Oh wait, I haven’t watched it yet…Never mind, I’ll get back when I have watch it.

  • darkon March 29, 2013, 10:55 AM

I know this might not be the time or the place to mention this, but I’d like to talk about this year’s kre-o transformer figures. In 2011 kre-o was only a slight bit better than megablox in quality, in 2012 it was almost at Lego quality, but this year there has been a definite improvement! The combiner sets are especially nice. For only $10 you get four minifigures that transform into vehicles and then combine into one giant warrior. I know a lot of people probably don’t like kre-o simply because it’s a rip-off of Lego, but if you give it a chance, you might actually find that it’s better than Lego in some areas. It’s also the only way for a transformers fan like me to get minifigures of all his favorite characters to use with Lego sets. ๐Ÿ˜€ “Autobots, roll out!” Optimus Prime

    • admin March 29, 2013, 11:12 AM

Darkon, yeah, I have been eyeing those. Saw the reviews at TheBrickShow. I might pick up a set just to try it out. I don’t mind to check out clone-brands just for my education and I never bought a kre-o set before.

      • Fikko3107 March 29, 2013, 1:04 PM

It seems like this website is more tolerant against the clones, except for that certain most hated clone…

        • admin March 29, 2013, 5:48 PM

Personally I’m willing to check out anything that enhances my LEGO creations. I’m a big supporter of LEGO customizers and I also consider clone-brands if the quality is good and they have something interesting to offer. I especially look out for minifig weapons/accessories and unusual elements that LEGO doesn’t make. ๐Ÿ™‚

          • Legoman640 March 30, 2013, 9:29 AM

Exactly, and Kre-o seems to satisfy my need for space theme parts and such. I need some inspiration for a space theme, and Kre-o helps me do that. As for prices,it’s pretty nice! You can get 4 kreons and a vehicle for less than $20! That’s a good deal even for Nassau!

  • darkon March 29, 2013, 12:16 PM

They’re really awesome, at least the transformers figures are. ToysRUs has about half an aisle filled with them, and they’re actually not over-priced like lego. The minifigures are still $3, but each one comes with extra pieces that can be used to turn them into a vehicle or animal. You can’t feel the packets for each minifigure like you can with Lego, but each character does have a different number on the back of their packet so you can avoid getting duplicates by simply getting a bunch that all have different ID numbers. My favorite figure so far is Dark Arachna, and my favorite combiner is Bruticus, followed closely by Devastator. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin March 29, 2013, 12:54 PM

Darkon, thanks for sharing that. I will check them out on my next trip to TRU. You made me curious. ๐Ÿ™‚
