Great new for LEGO Legends of Chima fans! Pictures of the #70014 LEGO Legends of Chima Croc Swamp Hideout have been revealed by Kmart’s website. The listing and description is all wrong, and I’m sure will be either corrected or taken down, but at least we have a chance to see some long-awaited pictures, so let’s take a look!
We have first seen the headquarters of the LEGO Legends of Chima crocodile tribe in the LEGO Legends of Chima TV series. Below is a picture of how it looks like on the outside; dark, menacing… and swampy.
I have to say I’m quite pleased with the LEGO Legends of Chima Croc Swamp Hideout set. From what I can see on the pictures the colors are great and there are lots of play-features. In fact this is the first LEGO Legends of Chima set I’m really interested in. Although I wish it was a bit more swampy. I live in the swamps myself, down in Florida’s gatorland, so I know exactly how gator-infested swamps look like. A bit more vegetation and roots would make the Croc Swamp Hideout more organic and less industrial-looking, but such details can certainly be added by Chima fans themselves
Here is the Croc Swamp Hideout from another angle, showing off the giant crocodile head with its open mouth and scary teeth.
The LEGO Legend of Chima Croc Swamp Hideout includes 647 pieces and 5 minifigures: Crominus, Cragger, Crug, Lennox, and Leonidas. I’m quite surprised that Cragger’s sister Crooler is not included with her magic flower that she used to keep her brother under evil influence. Price should be around $60, if I remember correctly.
The #70014 LEGO Legends of Chima Croc Swamp Hideout should be available with the next wave of LEGO Legends of Chima sets. For currently available sets you can check out the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think? How do you like the long-awaited LEGO Legends of Chima Croc Swamp Hideout? Was it worth the wait? Are you planning to add it to your collection? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

Wow, I was not expecting a set like this from CHIMA. Sure it’s not Castle but it could hold it own quality wise against other licensed themes. I also think it is better then the lion temple. So many good sets. So hard to choose. So hard to pay for them.
Are you a TFOL, Strider?
Oh, I forgot to mention that sixty dollars, (fifty nine ninety nine to be exact) seems like an excellent price although they could have included Crooler, I agree. It probably has to do with LEGO wanting everybody to have to buy their second biggest chima set, (not counting the LT) if they want all the minifigures. Crug is a good addition though.
It looks rather…unconvincing.
i know its your opinion and all but I dissagree in my opinion Crocs are the best tribe. And have the best sets
yah the crocs do have the best sets but don’t think that thay are the best teem becase they try to take the chi frome the lions 🙁
Well, I Mean when they say “hideout”, I was expecting one, not just a mouth…
You should’ve expected that since they do show it in the TV show. If you don’t watch the TV show, then that’s an excuse. Otherwise, you should’ve expected it to happen.
It would be cool to find a way to connect this set with the lion temple and eagle castle
I’m sure it could be done with a little bit of MOC’ing and some Technic pins.
Having all the competing teams’ bases on an arms length distance from each other?
Sounds like a recipe for disaster…
Hey I never said it wouldn’t cause friction between the tribes, but JediToa asked. It might actually look pretty neat.
It might just be me but I feel like lego uses a little too much technic pieces in some lego sets. I understand that they add a lot of functionality to them, but they could at least cover it up more. A bunch of piece with holes in them looks a little cheap. Maybe it is just me though as I prefer the classic brick over many new pieces.
It’s not cheap, it’s cyberpunk!
Admin, is it possible to comment too much? It’s just that on some posts I have so much to say, but I don’t want to dominate the comment section or anything like that.
Strider, I appreciate you asking. As long as the comment is on topic, you are welcome to share as much as you like. It is actually a good thing if you share your thoughs as I know from our statistics that most people are too shy to speak up. 😉
It looks fantastic! I love that it’s under $70 dollars too! My only complaint is that it doesn’t include Queen Krunket or General Kranvil as exclusive figures, but I think they’re coming out in Wave 3, Jan 2014, so I’ll just have to wait. By the way, is this set going to be exclusive to K-mart??? Because that would be really odd. I honestly can not think of a single lego set that was exclusive to K-mart.
Darkon, I don’t think it’s a Kmart exclusive. It is just that Kmart listed it early by accident. Also, I forgot to mention it in the post, but I read that the mouth actually opens and closes, which makes it even more awesome!
O.o now I must get this.
Lego might as well make a Lego sonic if they could make this.
Who in there Right mind wold like this chima crap any way!
Crap! I didn’t win the Friends Contest. 👿
Ahhh… I will chastise my little sister for not picking your number. 🙄
AS I SAID, CHIMA can never compare to NINJAGOOOOOOOO.
does anybody have the ULTRA SONIC RAIDER.
Jay, your enthusiasm for Ninjago is appreciated, however keep in mind that you are in the Chima section of the site. There is no need to argue over which theme is better. Both have its fans. So please let the Chima fans enjoy their favorite theme, and we can talk about how awesome Ninjago is in the Ninjago section. 😉
Honestly, I will always love Ninjago and be a huge fan. But even I gotta admit that this is pretty freaking sweet.
I’m not sure why people keep comparing every Chima set to NinjaGo. It’s kind of stupid, like if you compared Lego City sets to Lego Star Wars. You shouldn’t judge a new theme based on what the last new theme was. Each theme is an individual that has its own unique elements that make it special. Let he who is without sin throw the first Lego brick. 😀
I posted a comment here about an hour ago, but now it’s gone. Why is that? By the way, I was just on ebay and bought Galvatron’s Kre-o figure for only $5! He’s the rarest collectible transformer figure so far. If you look hard enough, you can find some really good deals on ebay! 🙂
Darkon, it’s there, but it went into the moderation folder, so I had to have it approved before it showing up. I have just done that. 😉
Never mind, it’s back now. 🙂
At last! Pity it did not include Queen Crunket, though… 😉
or Crooler and her flower of evil… stuff…. 😛
The set looks awesome!…except for the minifigures. I’m dissapointed that 99% of the minifigures in this set are the same as the ones in Cragger’s Command Ship. I mean, seriously, this set would fit perfectly with the ship, but having so many doubles? Sure, Crug is there, but he’s not exclusive either. It’d be better to have other crocodiles, even though if they’re just guards or such. 🙁
wow that is impressive – i know what im buying 🙂
oh and admin is this a summer or 2014 set as i didnt see it in the toyfair pics? thanks
I actually enjoy getting doubles because I can repaint the pieces and turn them into new figures. All of my Snakemen doubles from last year got repainted as Anacondrai warriors! 🙂
That looks neat!
The chima sets are awesome and I think windra the wolf should be part of the fox tribe because she looks like a fox and a skunk on the skunk tribe should be named stunk for a boy and stinky for a girl hope theres more chima characters.
Chima’s awesome! The skunk should be named any of the following names
BOY GIRL
Blackberry Ruth
Rolle ( Rall – ee ) Tristine
Neat. They just need more minis. I hate it when they redo the figures, especially if they are important. 😐
I am impressed with the croc base and I think it might actually be better than the Lion Fortress. I think it needs a little more swampiness though. It looks a little too mechanical.
I am so excited for the set. It already came out on August 1st and I’ll be getting it in 2 weeks. I already watched the reviews and I have to say, the set is pretty darn cool!
Yes, it does look really cool! 🙂
I just won this set from a lego survey! So excited!!
Nice! Congratutalations! 😛
