Fun LEGO video: Henri & Edmond’s adventures

Ah, French; the language of poets and lovers… but what does that have to do with LEGO? Well, today I would like to share with you a fun, witty and highly enjoyable LEGO stop-motion video following the adventures (mainly getting in trouble) of two friends; Henri and Edmond. The video has been produced by Maxime Marion, with French voice-actors Hervé Bonafos, Jean-Marie Pexoto, Fabien Floris and Lilian Ginet. I think you will like it. 🙂

LEGO Video - Henri & Edmond

Henri & Edmond won the Bricksinmotion Awards for Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Performance (Jean-Marie Pexoto), Best Original Score, and Best Film. Although this LEGO video is in French, English subtitles are included, so you can both enjoy the movie and hear some lovely French. So sit back, grab your popcorn, and relish half an hour of LEGO stop-motion goodness!

Wasn’t that awesome? And fun? If you would like to learn about how this LEGO video was made you can check out the storyboard here: LEGO Video: Henri & Edmond – Storyboard

There is also a great behind-the-scene featurette showing the team working on the LEGO stop-motion scenes and voice-animation. You can check it out here: LEGO Video: Henri & Edmond – Behind the Scene.

Sophie, yeah, LEGO videos require immense patience…

Although that basically holds true for any kind of animation.

I saw their first film years ago, and finally got around to checking back up on them a few months ago. Although I loved it, and the animation is great, it feels a little long (the other one was only around 7 minutes). Still, glad they made this. Also loved how they used the same “theme song” from the original film, making feel more like a running series.

Jacob, yeah their first film is fun too – the one about the crazy neighbor, right? This one is quite long, it’s a fact. But it is also really well done. I didn’t feel it was stagnating at any point. 🙂
