Looks like this is a very strong season for LEGO Chima sets with a great variety. The prehistoric animals are especially nice and that Phoenix is just gorgeous! Besides these set, there are also going to be seven large Constraction Figures, but I thought it is best to discuss those separately. Interestingly, there is no sign of Speedorz in this wave. As I have mentioned, these sets will be released this summer. While we are waiting, you can check out the currently available LEGO Chima sets at the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think? How do you like the LEGO Legends of Chima summer sets? Are you planning to get any of them? Which one is your favorite? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

These sets look cool! But I’m not that into Chima, so I might not get any.
Does anyone else think that the trans. blue broken-rock piece in the Saber-tooth walker set is new? I also like Gorzan’s weapon with that set. 🙂
But admin, I thought there were Speedorz this summer. Brickset has: http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Legends-Of-Chima/year-2014/page-2
I think there are, but they are very different. Admin, did you see any?
I’m also pretty sure that’s a new piece. Looks very interesting. I really like all the trans pieces. All look at the trans body parts! I think at this point we might be able to put together almost an entire minifigure from trans-light blue elements! 😀
I think Lloydguy was referring to the Speedorz. But the blue thing is a new piece. And, no, we can’t make a trans blue minifigure, we only get one arm and a leg. The arm is the same as Jek-14’s even! 🙁
I think the rock is new, except I think it is a piece of ice.
I might not get any either, even though they are awesome! also is it just me or does the sabre-tooth walker kind of looks like a beaver. 😕
it does…
I do not like chima but if they ever make a good guy elephant tribe (not mamoth) I would want every character but since there isn’t I would want the set that has mungus but I would not pay $50.00 for it, it looks more like a $30.00 set
A set of the same price has 55 more pieces. Is that a big or small difference?
That mammoth reminds me of an AT-AT from Star Wars. Also, that fire lion!
I think I’m going to save up for Ninjago, the LEGO movie, and ultra agents instead of these.
I agree, but I might get this one anyways:

Does anyone know the plot with the fire chi and the phoenixes and prehistoric animals in the show?
the elephant set reminds me of the oliphaunt in lord of the rings.
I have thought of the same thing. I wonder if this is an indication that LEGO is going to release an Oliphaunt. I know LOTR fans have been asking for it. 😛
I would love an oliphaunt! Also a good idea would be for the Theoden vs. Witch King battle, w/ the Nazgul dragon thing. 🙂
The Eagle Flyer has the new missiles! 🙂
You didn’t mention the Hero Factory style Ultrabuild Chima Guys?
I did mention them, but only briefly. I didn’t want to make the article too long. I will write a separe article about those if there is enough interest. 😉
I like the sabre-tooth tribe, they look nicely done
These sets are some of the coolest sets I have ever seen!! I really want Fluminox’s Speedorz, Voom Voom’s Speedorz, Vardy’s Ice Vulture, and Eris’ Fire Eagle. I want the Fire Eagle for Eris. She is so cool all fired up! I don’t really want anything else from the Fire Eagle, so I will probably get it on sale for parts. The mammoths look unstoppable!! I also really like Lundor. He and Voom Voom are my favorite summer 2014 Chima minifigs.
I want Fluminox’s speedor too! The nespeedors allow the minifigs to stand in the back, and the designs are at the front!
You forgot about 70135, Cragger’s Fire Striker ($29.99) and 70147, Sir Fangar’s Ice Fortress ($59.99), although I think they might be exclusive to Target and ToysRUs. 🙂
Pictures of those came out after I wrote this article. I guess I will just wait until they actually come out to write an update.
No speedorz?
I think that there will be Speedorz. Brickset has some listed, but no pictures. Maybe they’ll be a later release.
Also, I want Cragger’s Fire Striker, $30 doesn’t seem to bad.
I love Lego Chima . I wish that I can get a summer 2014 set, they look very cool. I want the ice mammoth and the flying fire temple.
They are making Chima speedorz this summer!Go on Lego.com, and you will see them there.(On Chima products.)Anyway, either:Eris’s Fire Eagle Flyer, or Craggers Fire Striker.
Admin. Did you know that chima is airing August 9th and im glad that the sets are coming out in time before my birth day on august 30th. The sets come out august 1st.
Yeah, that’s awesome! Lots of exciting new things are coming out in August! 😛
Yeah. Whens your birthday admin?
I prefer not to share personal information like that on a public forum. 😉
Admin, did you know that the new episodes are on youtube (in different languages)? When Maula was trying to awake Mungus in Episode 27, she put two chi orbs in his belt, but it didn’t work. So she took an orb of chi from Muttrot she put it into Mungus and he finally woke up! He totally freaked out. Maula was able to calm him down, though (Muttrot and Mungus are Maula’s sons). Mungus’ freak out startled all the other ice warriors. Is that hilarious or what? I can’t wait until more episodes come out!
Yeah, I have seen that. I just don’t like to watch the episodes in other languages. It kind of ruins it for me. Buy yeah, the story is interesting! 😀
I know right!
Okay.Sorry
Man, I love these! Especially Laval’s Fire Lion. I love the Chi-mode. While, I’m not a huge Chima enthusiast, I think I’m warming to the theme. (No pun intended)
BTW, the Phoenix Fire Temple reminds me of the Phoenix Force. Hmm…
Laval’s fire lion, strange shaped vehicle, espicially in Fire Chi mode. Also I picked up Fire vs Ice speedorz and I’m loving how easy they are to use now
Chima has really grown on me. At first I was like “These sets are okay,” but now I really like Chima-as much as I like Ninjago!
Why are people always arguing and comparing about Chima And Ninjago. They are all equal and groovy (as Gorzan would say).
Groovy they are! The whole comparison and arguing actually started with a statement by a LEGO employee. He said something that there is a new theme replacing Ninjago which is so much better. That was Legends of Chima. I believe this was just not the right thing to say. Chima and Ninjago are completely different themes catering to a completely different age-group and audience. Ninjago fans were upset and offended when Chima came out that this is what replaced their belowed Ninjago. I think there two themes can peacefully coexist and there is no need to compare them.
Lol those were the days… we ALL thought Chima was replacing Ninjago. We ALL were so happy when it came back. It is okay for people to compare the too themes, as long as you have your own opinion as well.
LOL too… Pfft. *two
I would get the one with Li’Ella! She is soooo pretty. She’s my favorite character. I can’t believe that Laval has a crush on her. It’s weird but really funny when he meets her in episode 31. You should see 31 and 32 PackLeaderWorriz
I absolutely love the new sets. It is kinda weird that its snow stuff for the summer sets but they’re fun anyway. I have almost all of them now.
Wow… I really like those sets! Seriously, amazing! And I never thought I would actually like Li’Ella! and Laval liking her?! I think I have a new OTP… Oops. 😀
