As you can see we get a nice assortment of sets this time around as well, so LEGO Legends of Chima fans should be happy. I believe that the battle-packs should be especially popular; they are cheap, include some really nice minifigs and a great assortment of accessories. Below I’m also including the original YouTube video from just2good who originally posted the images, so you can see the alternate pictures for each of the sets.

So what do you think? How do you like the 2015 LEGO Legends of Chima sets? And what about the new minifigs? Do you have a favorite tribe? Are you planning to get any of the battle-packs to build animal-tribe armies? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! And while we are waiting for the new sets, you can also check out the current LEGO Legends of Chima sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

Do we have any sense of the release date for these sets?

    • admin October 25, 2014, 9:41 PM

My understanding is that they will be released in January. 🙂

  • Håkan October 25, 2014, 11:26 AM

So… They’re really called “ice bears”, not “polar bears”… Sounds like a mistranslation from Danish…

    • admin October 25, 2014, 9:43 PM

Coudl be, or it could also be intentional.

      • Håkan October 26, 2014, 6:20 AM

It probably is intentional, now when the product is finalized. Maybe came up on random in the production face, but it stuck.

        • Håkan October 26, 2014, 8:50 AM

          *production phase*

        • admin October 26, 2014, 11:15 AM

That is possible. Yesterday at BrickWorld I had a chance to talk with a former LEGO designer from Denmark. He told me some very interesting stories…

    • Ray October 27, 2014, 11:59 AM

Maybe they just preferred “I” character names over “P”.

Bears and beavers! I think that now covers all the tribes depicted in the cartoon, except for that one peacock fellow. I note that they waited to do the bears until they could get the ice bears out of the same mold, just like the tiger tribe gave us lion womenfolk.

      • admin October 27, 2014, 2:38 PM

That could very well be the reason. Forgot that they give the characters names with the same first letter as the tribe name.

  • Ike October 25, 2014, 11:38 AM

So… Is the “Tiber Tribe” Italian? 😉

  • legogeek October 25, 2014, 3:34 PM

Looks like all those disk shooters are one new piece.

    • BLProductions October 25, 2014, 8:14 PM

Yes, they are new. It’s pretty much like the current spring loaded shooters, except the slot is on the long side, and it shoots a 2×2 round tile. I’m not sure on how one would fire one, maybe you push it in, let go, and it springs out? Otherwise it’s like a rubber-band shooter, where you just push something behind it, and it shoots out. Also, I note that they don’t advertise them on the box.

Finally tigers come in another set! I really liked tormac in the Phoenix temple, but didn’t really like the set in general. The new tiger set looks awesome though. How come all of the best sets have to come out after Christmas?

    • admin October 25, 2014, 9:45 PM

That’s an interesting question. ONe explanation I have heard is that usually toy sales are very low in January, because it is right after Chrsitmas. So LEGO figured out that this is the great time to release awesome new sets and thus keep their sales up. 😉

  • BLProductions October 25, 2014, 8:22 PM

I’ve never heard those three names before…Cragger’s CrocChopper… hm, sounds interesting. I’m really liking Tiger’s Mobile Command, and $70 is better than I expected for the price! It’s a shame, though, that they didn’t make a new mould for the beaver’s head, the Yeti head doesn’t look right at all, I mean, what beaver has fangs sticking upwards? 😐
It does indeed look like Chima’s final year, based on the Ninjago cycle. No Speedorz yet this year (no spinners in 2013 Ninjago), and less sets than usual (there were only 6 in 2013 Ninjago). I doubt there’s enough support behind Chima to make a continuation, like what happened in Ninjago. 😕
Also, what does TBA stand for? I can’t seem to figure it out. 😕

    • gid617 October 25, 2014, 8:54 PM

TBA generally stands for To Be Announced.

      • admin October 25, 2014, 9:46 PM

        Yes, that is correct. 😉

  • Balin Lord of Moria November 19, 2014, 9:49 PM

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bears, Beavers, More ,Lions ,Crocodiles ,Sabers ,AND TIGERS. I figured out today that I really like the Tigers

  • quasney November 27, 2014, 9:11 AM

Will they have a brown bear set too?

    • Macelo Barrantes December 24, 2014, 3:56 PM

Yes, they will!! This is how the set is called: Bladvik’s Rumble Bear.
      Merry Christmas

  • matthew November 29, 2014, 5:48 PM

this is flipping amazing. I am losing my mind. 😀

  • matthew November 29, 2014, 5:49 PM

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • matthew November 29, 2014, 5:51 PM

this is so epic! tigers, bears, beavers[my favorite tribe] and a bunch
of new people from original tribes! this is awesomeness. 😀 😀 😀

  • Marcelo Barrantes December 24, 2014, 3:51 PM

The sets for 2015 are awesome, and specially the new “Fenix temple” (my personal favorite for the 2015 line) even though, I still prefer the old ones, I own 7 Legends of Chima sets: 6 Speedorz, (chi waterfalls, boulder bowling, ultimate speedorz tournament, croc swamp, royal nest) and 2 normal sets: lenox lion attack vehicle, and the Lion Chi Temple.

Even that I prefer the old ones the best, they made a really nice job on the new ones!

  • Marcelo Barrantes December 24, 2014, 4:01 PM

    I love Them!!!

  • Angelina January 2, 2015, 11:49 PM

Is there going to be new episodes for the legends of chima in January???

    • admin January 3, 2015, 10:26 AM

Angelina, my understanding is that Legends of Chima is over, although if there is enough demand they could bring the show back, like they have done with Ninjago. But nothing has been announced in this regard.

      • Smaug February 16, 2015, 8:29 AM

Ninja go returns with a new Anacondrai warriors led by Pythor. And don’t froget! It has happened! Remember bionicle Is back this year!

  • kayden January 10, 2015, 9:52 AM

    • admin January 10, 2015, 9:56 AM

Kayden, LEGO just released an entirely new wave of Chima sets a few days ago. As far as the TV show, I think it’s over, although if the demand is there LEGO might bring it back. 🙂

  • kayden January 10, 2015, 9:53 AM
