While the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness is over, excitement for LEGO fans continues with the beginning of a new month. Today we will look at the LEGO Store Calendar for December to see what LEGO has to offer in the form of special deals and new LEGO sets. 🙂
➡ FREE EXCLUSIVE 2016 LEGO WALL CALENDAR: This offer has been available at LEGO stores since mid-November, but I thought to include it here, as you can get the calendar all the way until December 24th. Besides being fun for LEGO fans, the 2016 LEGO Wall Calendar also includes three coupons for next year: a free (and very cute) LEGO Creator Parrot set with any purchase in January-February, 100 Bonus Points with any LEGO VIP purchase in April-June, and a free LEGO Nexo Knights minifigure with any purchase in July-September.
➡ FREE COLLECTIBLE 2015 HOLIDAY ORNAMENT: You can get a nice little LEGO Christmas tree that you can use as a holiday ornament with any purchase of $50 or more. I particularly like the printed tile that comes with the set. This offer is valid December 7-15, 2015, or while supplies last.
➡ LEGO SETS ON SALE: I usually mention that the LEGO Sales & Deals section is a good place to take a look every time you are about to check out, because you might find something interesting. And this time of the year is particularly great for finding older LEGO sets and themes on clearance, as LEGO is clearing them out to get ready for next year. LEGO has been doing some major inventory clearing during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday event, and expect this to continue until the end of the year, especially right after Christmas. You can find all the clearance items under the LEGO SALES & DEALS SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
➡ 2016 LEGO DISNEY PRINCESS AVAILABLE NOW: A good number of 2016 LEGO sets are now available, and some of them would make excellent gifts for Christmas. Make sure you get them right away though, because other people will have the same idea. I especially expect the #41066 LEGO Disney Princess Anna & Kristoff’s Sleigh Adventure and the #41068 LEGO Disney Princess Arendelle Castle Celebration to sell out fast as they are both gorgeous and wintery. You can find them under the LEGO DISNEY PRINCESS SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
➡ 2016 LEGO TECHNIC AVAILABLE NOW: Other currently available 2016 LEGO sets include four LEGO Technic vehicles. The #42046 LEGO Technic Gateway Racer is a particularly great looking set, and it can be combined with the #42047 LEGO Technic Police Interceptor (both of them come with pull-back motors). You can find them under the LEGO TECHNIC SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
➡ 2016 LEGO CREATOR SETS AVAILABLE NOW: The #31044 LEGO Creator Park Animals is a particularly cute set that is being released early. There are some other 3-in-1 models and small sets that are also available now. You can find them under the LEGO CREATOR SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
➡ 2016 LEGO CITY SETS AVAILABLE NOW: A number of the smaller 2016 LEGO City sets are also available. Two particularly noteworthy ones are the #60118 LEGO City Garbage Truck with satisfying garbage dumping action, and the really cool looking #60113 LEGO City Rally Car. You can find them under the LEGO CITY SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
➡ 2016 LEGO DOCTOR WHO SET: The set a lot of LEGO fans have been waiting for! The super awesome #21304 LEGO Ideas Doctor Who! With 623 pieces, four minifigures, two Daleks and a great design, this is definitely going to be a hot seller this holiday season. In addition, LEGO Ideas sets have a limited run, so if you want it, get it now. It is only $59.99. You can find it under the LEGO IDEAS SECTION OF THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP
The December LEGO Store Calendar also includes a handy chart to know what are the deadlines for different shipping methods if you want to receive your order by Christmas. See below.
So to summarize, check the Sales & Deals section of the Online LEGO Shop for clearance items, check the What’s New section of the Online LEGO Shop for the newly added 2016 sets, and don’t hesitate on the LEGO Doctor Who and the LEGO Disney Princess sets because they will most likely sell out very fast. Also, consult the shipping chart to make sure your package arrives before Christmas. And that’s it for the month! Feel free to share what you are planning to get in the comment section below! 😉

UPDATE: The Cyber Monday offer by LEGO has been extended to December 1st! While supplies last, LEGO will still be offering the Gingerbread House with orders over $99 and free shipping on all online orders. There are also still tons of great deals in their ‘Sales and Deals’ section. The best part about the sales extending to December 1st is that they apply to the new wave of set launches like the Doctor Who set and the 2016 LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Disney Princess and LEGO Technic sets! 😀
Got my gingerbread house yesterday the chess sets were such a nice deal! 🙂
Sweet! 😀
URGENT, Amazon has the Dr. Who set in stock on prime!
Ok, now I have to write 2016 new pieces Part 2. There’s images for the parts now (or soon will be, anyways). Of the 2016 sets themselves, Park Animals seems to be the best of these being released (it’s Duck Hunt!). 😀 The parts inventories will decide if any of these sets are worth getting. Otherwise, nothing particularly interesting for me this month.
Now I’m off to search LEGO.com for new parts. 🙂
Yeah, love Park Animals! It is a really cute set. Looking forward to Part 2 of your article! 😀
I ordered the Doctor Who set late last night was worried it’d sell out. I did get a “We’re experiencing unusually high volume at this time” notice . But the order went through.
I’m glad you were able to get it. It is already on backorder, although people can still order it with some expected delay in shipping. I built the set last night. It is fantastic. I think you will really enjoy it too. 🙂
My local TRU had a stack of the Doctor Who set picked one up during lunch
That’s awesome! Have fun building it! 😀
