With Star Wars Force Friday at the beginning of the month, and the release of The LEGO Ninjago Movie at the end of the month, plus some other events, there is a lot happening to keep LEGO fans excited through the month of September. It comes with 2,049 pieces and retails for $149.99 (only 7 cents a piece!). If you are interested getting this set, I would suggest purchasing it right away, as all LEGO Ideas sets are limited-release, and we can expect it to sell out as fast as the #21309 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V. You can find it under the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO FRIENDS HEARTLAKE CITY PLAYGROUND: This is another fan-submitted model, originally designed for a LEGO Friends contest by an 8-year-old girl named Sienna from the UK (you can read more about it here). ➡ LEGO WINTER VILLAGE STATION: The recently announced #10259 LEGO Winter Village Station is going to be available for LEGO VIP members on September 14th, with general release on October 1st (press-release and designer-video here). This is the latest in the LEGO Winter Village series, and a perfect addition to the #10254 LEGO Winter Village Holiday Train from last year. You can find both sets under the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO HALLOWEEN SET: Gearing up for the holiday season, the first small LEGO fall/winter holiday set is the #40260 LEGO Holiday Haunt, featuring a spooky and fun Halloween scene with lots of great little accessories. You can find it under seasonal items at the Online LEGO Shop.
Besides these new releases, don’t forget about the very large selection of new sets that became available last month, including the new LEGO Juniors sets, LEGO Disney sets, LEGO Friends Snow Resort sets (and more), LEGO Minecraft sets, LEGO Nexo Knights sets, LEGO Super Heroes sets (both for DC and Marvel fans), LEGO Super Hero Girls sets, The LEGO Ninjago Movie collection, all the new LEGO Technic sets, the LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox, the LEGO Creator London Bus, and more. And before you check out, I also recommend taking a look at the sales and deals section of the Online LEGO Shop to see what’s on clearance.
To summarize, if you are a LEGO Star Wars fans, focus on making your purchases this weekend, so you can take advantage of the Double VIP Points period, and remember that the #75192 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon will be available mid-month. However, you can wait to purchase this set later, as it should be available for at least a year, or even longer. The set you shouldn’t wait with (if you want it) is the #21310 LEGO Ideas Old Store, as it is limited-release, and expected to sell out fast. Also, don’t forget about the small holiday set, which is also seasonal, and usually don’t stay around long.

Wow! So much new stuff! Thanks for putting this together every month. It really helps with planning and shopping. I will have to go through the list again carefully to see what I want. Definitely the Fishing Store, and some of the sale items.
I’m glad you find the info useful, and you’re very welcome. 🙂
I really need to win the lottery to keep up…
LOL! Tell me about it! 🙄
I didn’t even know about the new SW sets! Were they just put up today? They usually have them as coming soon, isn’t it?
Yes, they were just announced and uploaded this morning. 🙂
SO much awesomeness! What are you guys getting?
I never bought any of the build able STAR WARS figures, but that Chewie figure looks cool. However , I am still in the NINJAGO zone. I fact I am in the middle of building the destiny’s bounty set. Also I am behind on the STAR WARS battle packs. Too many choices. In NINJAGO sets I’m looking at the water strider to add to my NINJAGO world. So, I am in between a Chewie and a water strider. ( what a mess).
I’d say you should go for the water strider…
But I’m pretty partial against all buildable figures, so my opinion might not matter that much…
I would definitely go with the Water Strider. Such a great set! Fun building too! But that’s just my opinion. 😉
Something must be up with sales & deals. Nothing pops up on the Web page.
Harry, are you talking about the sidebar link? For some reason that stopped working when LEGO did some recent updates. I’m going to ask my contact at LEGO to see what’s up with that. In the meantime, you can just go to the homepage at the Online LEGO Shop, then click the Sets tab, and under it there will be a link to Sales & Deals right at the top. Hope this helps some. 🙂
I agree, you can do so much more with the water strider. Thanks .
Actually, I might back track a little bit and pick up a couple of the older NEXO knights sets . I am a little behind on those . Now that I have Kingston castle set. The water strider is $30. It’s an easy save.
That’s nice. You should be able to find many of the Nexo sets on sale between now and the end of the year/beginning of next year. Keep an eye on local sales. 😉
There’s nothing new that really interests me this month, except the Falcon. The Last Jedi sets are… ok. Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter is probably my favorite vehicle of the wave. I hear it’s a TIE Silencer, which was adapted from the TIE Interceptor. The Heavy Assault Walker (aka AT-AT 2.0) looks interesting too, though the front legs do look a little odd. I note the TIE Striker #75154 is on sale, but I doubt I’ll be getting it now. I’ll probably wait for November’s promotions.
Ninjago City and The Old Fishing Store are amazing sets, but sadly both well above my budget. Nice to see the Friends Playground set available.
But admin, you missed the Advent Calendars: all three (City 60155, Friends 41326, and Star Wars 75184) were released today as well.
Also: https://brickset.com/article/30329/the-lego-ninjago-movie-brickheadz-revealed! These look pretty good; the BrickHeadz sets seem to have a strong design, so maybe we’ll see more TLNM BrickHeadz.
Somehow the Advent Calendars didn’t show up for me when I was writing this post. It’s always a bit tough, as I usually write the day before, and sometimes new sets just aren’t showing up yet. I had to finish this post this morning, to be able to add the Star Wars sets, but I forgot that the Calendars should be there too. Anyway, yes they are also available. I will probably write about them later, as Christmas still seem so far away (especially here in Florida!). 🙂
I really-really like the Ninjago BrickHeadz! I wasn’t super enthusiastic about the Super Heroes BrickHeadz, because I’m just not that into Super Heroes, but Ninjago, yeah, bring it on! 😀
Just got back from the LEGO Store. I bought a 75172 Y-Wing for $48 and a Series 17 CMF so I could get the $50 Scarif Stormtrooper. Unfortunately, they were out of him, so they offered me a choice between Hoth Han (from 2013!) and Darth Revan. I chose Hoth Han because I already had Darth Revan and didn’t really want another one.
Interesting that they were already out of the Scarif Stormie! Glad to hear that you at least got something else.
You could’ve saved your self the trouble and bought the Battle on scarif. That is if you don’t have it already . I pick up a couple of the Wookie gunship micro machine so I can build my Wookie army (I already have two others at home) . For the home world I am going to use the Ewok village ( with some adjustments).
Micro machine? Is that a Microfighter?
To me, Micro Machines are those small vehicles that were very popular around the 80’s and 90’s…
I used to own the Super City Toolbox when I was a kid, but I think I sold it off on some thrift sale.
One of my friends/ acquaintances owned a bucketload of those playsets.
Micro fighters, that’s what meant. Never write when you are tired. So, yes I building a Wookie army.
