Following a short summer break, LEGO is back with running more contests for teen and adult LEGO fans! As you may remember, LEGO ReBrick will be closing on the 1st of September, and all contests from now on are held at LEGO Ideas, consolidating LEGO fan experiences for 13+ LEGO fans in one place. This most recent contest celebrates the recently released #21311 LEGO Ideas Voltron set and all the creativity that comes with it. The LEGO Ideas Voltron contest details are below. 🙂
➡ LEGO IDEAS VOLTRON CONTEST – OVERVIEW: Have you ever dreamed yourself into the fascinating universe of Voltron? We most certainly have! There are so many epic scenes that stimulate our imaginations of life beyond Earth. Here’s your chance to bring it all to life in LEGO bricks, as the LEGO Ideas team is looking for you to show off your most imaginative interpretation of one of the locations in which your favorite Voltron lion was found after all the lions were sent away into hiding for 10,000 years by King Alfor. It’s time to share your ideas with the community. The LEGO Ideas team looks forward to your contribution!
➡ LEGO IDEAS VOLTRON CONTEST – HOW TO ENTER: 1.) Build your most imaginative scene showing the location in which your favorite Voltron lion was found. For inspiration, remember that most locations are connected to the element of the lion. (The Black Lion was found in the Castle of Lions and connected to the element of metal. The Red Lion was found in lava and connected to the element of fire. The Green Lion was found in the forest and connected to the element of forest. The Blue Lion was found underwater and connected to the element of water. The Yellow Lion was found underground in rock and connected to the element of land.) 2.) Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as LEGO Digital Designer. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance your photos/presentation. 3.) Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off your model from all angles and any particular features or functions of your creation. 4.) Add a title and a short description. 5.) Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on this page.
➡ LEGO IDEAS VOLTRON CONTEST – RULES: Your entry must depict only one of the locations in which one of the Voltron Lions was found. You’re welcome to submit multiple entries however. Entries must only contain LEGO elements (no DUPLO elements). These LEGO elements must be genuine (not cut, glued, drawn on or otherwise modified). Entries may not include licensed or copyrighted elements, stickers/printed elements and minifigures. This means all entries containing elements from third party Intellectual Properties (IPs), including licensed characters from Marvel and DC Super Heroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Ferrari, etc. will not be eligible for the contest. This also includes LEGO IPs such as LEGO Friends, LEGO NEXO Knights, LEGO Elves etc. Please only use generic LEGO minifigures such as from the LEGO Collectable Minifigure series, LEGO City, or LEGO Creator. No custom artwork (stickers/prints). Entries may only contain official LEGO-made stickers or printed elements from non-licensed sets. Keep your model generic (unless related to Voltron). Entries consisting of or referencing any existing third-party work or creation, with the exception of Voltron, or infringements of any third party intellectual property right will not be eligible for the contest (this includes references to Intellectual Property such as Star Wars, NASA, DC/Marvel Super Heroes and more). You must be the original creator of all creative work you submit (the model, images, photographs, description text, etc.) and you must have the exclusive right to submit your model to this LEGO Ideas contest. You may not submit a model made by, or on behalf of, someone else. Entries must be new creations and not previously posted online or submitted to any other contest. That’s cool, but with school starting its kind of hectic right now. I like the idea of building a home for the lions!!!
That’s understandable. The beginning of each school year is always hectic.
I liked the layout of the Rebrick contest page better. The Ideas page became so weird after the last update. Anyway, the contest sounds interesting.
Yeah, I liked the previous website designs better too. 🙁
