The Avengers sets look amazing! I hope I can get all of them. I like Steamboat Willie too, but it will have to wait.
I’m torn between the “I have a lot of avengers sets ” To ” get newer and different well everything sets ” . I may save for the iron man hall of armor and the war machine buster sets . Oh , and maybe later on get the avenger compound battle Set. So, will see. I may have to not get the star wars sets just because it’s nothing really that new. The typical Lego bombardment of too much stuff and choices.😕
The Avengers sets are so awesome! Forget about Star Wars! I want the Quinjet, the Hall of Armor and the Machine Buster.
I don’t see how this is an April Fools day joke………….
It’s not mandatory to make jokes on April 1st, as far as I know. 🙄
Ok, you are right! Sorry just expecting a joke, I came here after reading the April fools joke on Brickset!
Ha-ha! I read the HuwBot posts too! I love Clickits, so I especially enjoyed the articles! 😀
It seems Huw missed the connection I noticed, a “male” Clikit can be placed offset onto a hollow stud.
Yes, that is correct! BTW, I don’t think placing male Clickits into Technic holes puts that much stress on the connection. I have had pieces attached like that for years, and I never had an issue. I wrote an article about Clickits connections way back in 2010: http://thebrickblogger.com/2010/12/lego-clikits/
Huw did mention some Clickits pieces though that I didn’t know about. Like that 90 degree bracket. I’m glad that Clickits have been flying under the radar for so long. I was able to pick up quite a bit for really cheap on BrickLink. Of course, with these articles, prices may rise and stock dwindle.
The BrickSet effect!
Yep! Powered by HuwBot! 😀
Off topic, who would win in a fight ? Batman or boba fett.
I’d guess Batman, even though he just turned 80…
Man, that’s old! How old is Boba Fett? 😀
I guess about 40. The character made his first appearance Nov 17, 1978. (A very interesting happening.)
Hm… though call… I think Boba Fett, but that’s because I like him a little bit better. 😀
The Easter chick is so cute! Both of them are. I think I will hold off my order until the 5th so I can get them both. 😀
Can we please have reviews of the new star wars sets? Those are the ones I’m most interested in, but I want to make sure they are good.
Yes, just working on it. 🙂
I’m thinking about collecting the anniversary sets. I don’t want to get deeply into SW, so I figure the anniversary sets are a good compromise. Any thoughts?
The Anniversary sets are good! Some of them are a little pricey, so if you can use your points or get them on sale somehow, it would make it easier, but they are solid sets for sure. 🙂
I have been contemplating getting the Steamboat Willie set since I watched the designer video. It seems like a great building experience.
Yes, it seems like the designer put a lot of thought into making the set a great building experience for adults. It turned out better then expected in my opinion.
I have a hard time deciding myself ( about Batman and boba fett). What might be really cool is have Batman and boba fett team up. That would be cool.😁
Both of them are lone rangers, so I don’t think they would be inclined. But you never know. Old age might have made both of them wiser and more appreciative of the value of teamwork. 😀
Boba Fett vs Batman. Well, for me that’s easy. Now I’ve only seen one Batman movie I liked, the first one with Michael Keaton but mostly to me Batman wins. Kinda by default. 😉 Boba Fett looks menacing, stands there menacingly a lot and… gets eaten by the Sarlacc in the third Star Wars film. 😉 Oh, and he /didn’t/ have a New Zealander’s accent in the original versions of the movies! :O 😉
On the flip-side I was more than a little surprised by the choice of Michael Keaton (Mr Mom as Batman?) but then maybe that makes Batman more of a bad-@ss having more of a mild-mannered Batman anyway. Plus he does has lots of cool toys and kicks butt! Boba Fett… yeah, I already mentioned that. 😉
This probably isn’t the fairest comparison since I’m not the biggest super hero movie fan (I ran out of interest after the first Avenger’s film.) but if I were to pick a favorite, I’d say the first Incredibles movie. No joke! 😉
LOL! Good analysis! 😀
Guys, did you notice that the podracer anniversary set comes with clear Technic beams? Aren’t those new??!
Good notice! Those are indeed super special new parts! 😀
Wow! The new Avengers (three of them ) are already backordered. Time flies faster when you have money, and so does the merchandise. Off the shelves. Lol!😮
Yeah, those sets have been super popular! 😀
I can wait, because right now I’m going through my stack of Lego sets that needs to be built. I am in the middle of building the Batman Lego movie sets ( convenient because Batman just had a birthday). So, I’m in a Batman mode and they can easily fit in my Lego City. So, pacing myself for the news sets as well as have time to save money for them. Of I in ” broke central”. Right now.
