One of our favorite LEGO stop-motion animators, the BrotherhoodWorkshop, recently released a new video, featuring a fun mix of scenes and characters from Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
The recently released #76290 LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina, with it’s highly detailed interior and large number of characters, is perfect for playing out scenes from the Star Wars movies. In the video below, the Mandalorian and Grogu visit Mos Eisley Cantina, and they encounter both friendly and unfriendly locals.
While I always enjoy videos from the BrotherhoodWorkshop, I like the behind-the-scenes footage even more. In the video below, Kevin talks about how The Mandalorian in Mos Eisley: A LEGO Star Wars Mashup was made, and some of the tips, tricks, and equipment he used to make the video.
If you’re interested in LEGO animation, I recommend looking through the other behind-the-scenes videos and tutorials by the BrotherhoodWorkshop. And you can also check out The LEGO Animation Book by David Pagano and David Pickett, which is an excellent resource for both new and seasoned LEGO animators.
What do you think? How did you like the Star Wars Mashup video? Have you ever tried animation with LEGO? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I love the book cover great idea.
I have the book. It’s fantastic! It’s suitable for both beginners and advanced brickfilmers. And I enjoyed the video. Thank you.
First off, very cool video I loved it. Secondly, I have the Lego animation creation book, but, never really figured it out I’m not that Tech educated. However I have been trying to figure out how to combine The Mandalorian with the MOs Eisley Cantina now that is done on video I think I could make it work. Oh by the way the MOs Eisley Cantina it’s on its way and will be here in a couple weeks. Two thumbs up to the Brotherhood Workshop. They’ve always impressed me with their animation. 😎👍👍.
