Finally, a series I like! 😀
Hmm, I think there’d be a few suppliers in Sweden who would sell these, pre-sorted. Depending on pricing, I’m likely to pick up a bunch of these, and many of the heads and hairpieces seem generic enough to be used in a custom setting, with hopefully in numbers high enough to produce some decent pricing on Bricklink…
And another thing I’ve noticed about Marvel minifigs, is that in the Daily Bugle set is that there apparently is a new, unique head for “Ron Barney”, a character only known from a throwaway byline in a 1997 issue of Marvel Vision, an official fan magazine. The head was apparently based on some concept art, but it seems very unlikely that Lego would make a new head for such a throwaway character, so it likely was made first for some other set that’s been delayed. A qualified guess is that the head is based on concept art of Jeffrey Wright as a (black this time) James Gordon in the upcoming ‘The Batman’ movie that’s been delayed several times due to Covid…
(People have noted that the name is similar to Ron Garney, a reasonably successful veteran Marvel artist, but judging from his Wikipedia article, he’s a white guy, so the connection sounds unlikely…)
Interesting! I haven’t heard of this before. I remember watching a video where a designer said they always have a bunch of sets in development. Some may make it into production, others can canceled, or morphed into something else.
Yeah, I might’ve missed it, but I haven’t seen anyone else come up with the hypothesis. It’s particularly Wright’s grayish streaks in his beard that matches with the minifig head, I think.
And since I’m a proud person when I’ve come up with apparent new theories (?), I’d usually post them. Unless someone’d prove me wrong, it’s a theory that’d make a lot of sense.
Or otherwise Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos in the upcoming Eternals movie (or possibly both of them)…

Now I see that at least the Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos theory was correct. I’ll wait and see if James Gordon’ll have the same head, as well…
Is that a baby alligator there? I hope they will release it in other sets too.
Yeah, some kind of baby alligator or crocodile. The Loki variant from the show actually has horns, but Lego opted for a mold that’d be more flexible for future sets.
I’m hoping they’ll do the six pack option like they did with the Looney Tunes figs. I kind of liked knowing I was guaranteed six different figs.
Granted there were only two assortments. So if you got batch A and Batch B then you had a full set. But if you only got say Batch A you’d get a full set of duplicates.
Either way, I’m liking this series!
Yeah I know what you mean Will. I ordered it through Lego shop.com the Looney Tunes series I got mostly doubles. So i went to another store and start feeling the bags and one of the workers gave me a bad time for doing it. I think they were concerned about the virus spreading. Which scientist discovered is not exactly true and I tried to explain that but people are so paranoid right now and rightfully so. This Marvel series is a must have for me. ( FYI if a store worker give you any trouble on how they want you to or not to handle the merchandise, mentioned that you might get a better deal on Amazon. That seems to change their tune quickly and how they talk to their customers).
if you bought them first you could feal them all you want ! how has know one thought of this before¿¿¿¿¿ \(0_o)/
