May 2023 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions

The month of May is always dedicated to Star Wars fans with the May 4th celebrations, and LEGO also lined up quite a few new sets! There are also new sets in other themes, so let’s take a look!

LEGO STAR WARS FREEBIES: May 1-7 you will get the #40591 LEGO Star Wars Death Star II set with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $150 or more, the #5007840 LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi 40th Collectible with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $85 or more, and the #30654 LEGO Star Wars X-wing Starfighter Polybag with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $40 or more. In addition, Star Wars fans earn Double VIP Points on all Star Wars purchases. All of these promotions are available at official LEGO stores and the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO STAR WARS REWARDS: There are also some special rewards for Star Wars fans at the LEGO VIP Rewards Center. You can enter the sweepstakes for a sterling silver R2-D2 for 50 VIP Points May 4-14, a signed Imperial Star Destroyer (free entry) May 1-7, a limited edition numbered X-wing Starfighter print for 3,500 VIP Points May 1-7, and a few other goodies. NEW LEGO STAR WARS SETS: The #40623 LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz Battle of Endor Heroes set for $39.99, the #75346 LEGO Star Wars Pirate Snub Fighter is now available for $34.99, the #75348 LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor for $99.99, the #75352 LEGO Star Wars Emperor’s Throne Room for $99.99, the #75353 LEGO Star Wars Endor Speeder Chase for $79.99, the #75355 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series X-Wing Starfighter for $239.99, and the #75356 LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer for $69.99 are now available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

NEW LEGO DISNEY SETS: The #43213 LEGO Disney Little Mermaid Story Book is now available for $19.99, the #43225 LEGO Disney Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell for $159.99, and the LEGO Disney Collectible 100th Anniversary Minifigures for $4.99 each or as a six-pack for $29.94 (the series features Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, The Queen, Stitch 626, Pocahontas, Cruella de Vil & Dalmatian puppy, Miguel & Dante, Ernesto de la Cruz, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Robin Hood, Prince John, Tiana, Dr. Facilier, Queen of Hearts, Mulan, Aurora, and Baymax. NEW LEGO IDEAS SET: The recently announced #21340 LEGO Ideas Tales of the Space Age set originally designed by a LEGO fan is now available for $49.99 at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

NEW LEGO MARVEL SET: The #76256 LEGO Marvel Ant-Man Construction Figure is now available for $29.99 at the LEGO Marvel section of the Online LEGO Shop.

NEW LEGO TECHNIC SET: The recently announced #42156 LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar is now available for $199.99 at the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.

    I feel Lego Marvel focuses way too much on these Construction Figures lately… At least Ant-Man is one of their better achievements…

    I like the BrickHeadz, and it’s not even a theme I’m too interested in. And the coin, of course. Had trouble getting into the shop though. It was so slow!

    I was stupidly disappointed at Lego with this may 4 promotion.
    Not with its quality, they look fantastic, but with its availability. I put off making a large purchase to see what offer they would have. Was comfortably within the offer window when I tried to order, but the promotional products were already out of stock, this shows astoundingly bad planning from Lego, or more cynically, a desire to not want to supply the free gifts? Either way it cost them a sale.
