Yet another new set that appeared at the Online LEGO Shop that we haven’t talked about yet is the #43227 LEGO Disney Villain Icons meant for adult lego fans and collectors.
This detailed collectible set with 1,540 pieces features 2 brick-built VHS cases referencing Disney’s Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty, a VHS ‘tape’ of The Little Mermaid, a book representing Beauty and the Beast, a Queen of Hearts playing card for Alice in Wonderland, a ‘poison’ apple for Snow White and a pocket watch representing Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
The set also features several hidden features and functions and makes a nostalgic bookend on a shelf. The overall measurements are 7.5 in. (19 cm) high, 9 in. (23 cm) wide, and 7 in. (18 cm) deep for the whole display.
The set also includes four well-known villain characters from iconic Disney movies, including Disney’s Maleficent, the Evil Queen in Disguise from Snow White, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, and Jafar Genie from Aladdin, and can make a unique and distinctive Disney gift for display.

I wonder if the spine on that book is printed or stickers. Well, actually, I’m wondering WHICH of the decorations are printed or stickers. I think for afols that’s one of the most important features. For a collector’s item there should be no stickers at all.
As these are unique designs, my guess is that most or all of these would be stickers, particularly the spine, as it is curved.
I’m not entirely sure on the significance of the The Little Mermaid VHS tape, by the way; the original – more depressing – story was published in book form.
I could see some use for that apple design. Neat.
