There is a new LEGO building challenge on LEGO Ideas for LEGO Harry Potter fans. Below are the details.
“Our happiest memories help us produce the strongest Patronus Charms! In the Wizarding World, the Patronus Charm is a defensive spell that produces an amazing animal guardian. However, that animal can take many forms! With over 100 different animals that can represent you, we want to see that animal built using LEGO bricks!”
The challenge consists of three phases: 1.) Submission Phase – Create and submit your entry before November 14th, 2023 at 6:00 a.m. EST. 2.) Judging Phase – The judges review the entries and choose the winning entries by November 28th, 2023. 3.) Winners Announcement - the grand prize winner and two runner-up winners will be announced on LEGO Ideas no later than December 5th, 2023.
If you’re interested to participate, your submission should only be an animal that can be a Patronus animal using primarily blue elements (any shades of blue). Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as Bricklink’s Stud.io. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to create your images. Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the challenge. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. Add a title and short description. Upload your entry to the challenge using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the contest page. Submit your entry no later than November 14th 2023 at 6:00 a.m. EST.
If you are the grand prize winner of this challenge, you’ll receive the following: #76414 LEGO Harry Potter Expecto Patronum, #76391 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition, #76419 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, #76405 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express – Collectors’ Edition.
The first runner up winner will receive the following: #76414 LEGO Harry Potter Expecto Patronum, #76419 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, #76409 LEGO Harry Potter Gryffindor House Banner, #76410 LEGO Harry Potter Slytherin House Banner, #76411 LEGO Harry Potter Ravenclaw House Banner, #76412 LEGO Harry Potter Hufflepuff House Banner.
The second runner up winner will receive the following: #76414 LEGO Harry Potter Expecto Patronum, #76419 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, #76421 LEGO Harry Potter Dobby the House-Elf.

Sure. I can’t see it being much more different than other rounded animals. You’d just need a bunch of rounded wedges, panels, slopes and bricks, as well as some snot brackets…
