LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower Designer-Video

A couple of weeks ago, LEGO announced the upcoming #76269 LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower. This is the largest set to date within the LEGO Marvel collection with 5,201 pieces, the tallest LEGO brick-built skyscraper in an official LEGO set, and it is also the set with the most minifigures (31).

A couple of days ago, LEGO designers Justin Ramsden, Mark Stafford, and Mark Tranter assembled to take you through the design journey and plethora of hidden secrets of this imposing LEGO set and iconic landmark of the Marvel multiverse. You can watch the designer-video below.

That’s an impressive set, isn’t it? If you’re interested to get it, it will be available starting on November 24th at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

In addition, from the 24th to the 27th of November, LEGO Insiders members will receive a free LEGO Marvel Taxi set when they purchase the Avengers Tower. The set includes an iconic New York yellow taxi and four minifigures including Black Panther, a taxi driver, and two outriders. Please note that the decorated elements on the taxi are all printed; 2 license plate tiles, 2 taxi print bricks on the sides, and one taxi sign on top. Again, the taxi set is free with the purchase of the #76269 LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower.

What do you think? Are you excited about the new LEGO Avengers Tower? And what about the taxi freebie? Did you learn something interesting from the designers? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I would love to build this set, but then I wouldn’t know where to put it. And I don’t have the money, so…

It’s nice to see Mark Stafford still working on sets. I haven’t seen him in recent designer videos so I wasn’t even sure if he is still working there. He is such a great designer.

I expect to see this set as the central piece in many youtubers’ city. I remember when Jang started building his city, and now there are a bunch of channels doing the same thing. But at least Jang builds his own stuff. Others just display the modulars in slightly different configurations.

Yeah, I always appreciated his space sets. He did Power Miners and Alien Conquest, Legends of Chima, the early Ninjago sets, Nexo Knights, and I probably forget some of the other ones.

He also did the 76178 Daily Bugle and a bunch of other Marvel sets. But I would really like to see him get back to in-house space themes. If they ever do one again.

The set with the most minifigures would actually be 1066 Little People with Accessories. (1066 and all that,,,) But maybe Dacta / Educational sets wouldn’t count…

I think William said that he wasn’t too impressed with the bricklink sets. Like they were not corrected and looked over by Lego designers like the regular Ideas sets are. And that the building experience is frustrating with some of them.

I remember that too. Which is another nod to smaller sets. JK brickworks airplanes were perfect. First of all, he is an experienced builder who released several instructions, and the set is small. To date, that’s still my favorite BL set.

Oh, sorry, I left this comment on the wrong post. Somehow I went back a page before leaving it. Anyway, admin, if you can move it, please do. If not, this is about the bricklink sets.
