Today is Super Mario Day! And to celebrate, LEGO revealed three new LEGO Super Mario sets that will be released later this year. Below are the details.
#71435 LEGO SUPER MARIO BATTLE WITH ROY AT PEACH’S CASTLE: The set features a brick-built princess’s castle model that opens out ready for playtime adventures. It has easy-to-rebuild walls that collapse under siege, a tower, a catapult, a rotating throne, and a fountain in the garden. The three included characters are Roy (for the first time in a LEGO Super Mario set), a Chain Chomp, and Toad. The castle measures over 10 in. (26 cm) high, 12 in. (31 cm) wide, and 8.5 in. (21 cm) deep and can be added to other LEGO Super Mario sets, sold separately. Comes with 738 pieces, price: $64.99. It will be available in August at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.
#71436 LEGO SUPER MARIO KING BOO’S HAUNTED MANSION: The set features a buildable haunted house that opens out for easy access to playful details such as an elevating sofa and a bookcase with a key-reveal function. The four included characters are King Boo, a Yellow Baby Yoshi, a Dry Bones, and a Boo. The mansion measures over 7.5 in. (18 cm) high, 9 in. (23 cm) wide, and 7.5 in. (19 cm) deep, and it can be added to other LEGO Super Mario sets, sold separately. Comes with 932 pieces, price: $74.99. It will be available in August at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.
#71437 LEGO SUPER MARIO THE BOWSER EXPRESS TRAIN: The set features a detailed train, a handcar, two stations, a Super Star Block, and a Question Mark Block. The six included characters are Hammer Bro, Boom Boom, two Goombas, and two Para-Biddybuds. Add a LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach figure (not included) for interactive play. Help them to chase the train in the handcar, operate the spinning platform on the locomotive, and activate the cannon wagon’s spring-loaded shooter. Once all the enemies are defeated, trigger horn sounds as they drive Bowser’s Express to the station. The Bowser train measures over 8.5 in. (22 cm) high, 26.5 in. (68 cm) long, and 4.5 in. (12 cm) wide, and it can be used with other LEGO Super Mario sets. 1,392 pieces, price $119.99. It will be available in August at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I haven’t been here for a while. It’s great to see the community is still going. Super Mario and Minecraft are two themes that really took off while I was busy with other things. The train looks amazing!
Solid sets. Are the bigger train wheels new?
The sets are great, but to buy them all, you would really need to have unlimited financial resources.
Great looking sets. But you really need the starter sets to make these work. I like the train though.
Even if you aren’t that interested in the Mario franchise and the gamification shtick, the sets seem to have a lot of useful parts for other builds.
