There are some important pieces of news from the BrickLink Designer Program team. First, crowdfunding for the sets in BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 starts today, June 6th, at 8am Pacific / 3pm UTC. Pre-orders are taken on a first-come basis. Judging from the previous rounds, these will sell out quickly.
To pre-order a set, visit the BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 site, find your desired set, and click the “Pre-order on LEGO.com” button. You will be prompted to sign into your BrickLink account if you’re not signed in already. Once you’re signed in, you will be redirected to a LEGO.com cart checkout page. You can either check out or return to the BDP site to add more sets to your cart.
Crowdfunding Quick Facts:
- All designs that reach the 3,000 pre-order minimum threshold will be considered crowdfunded, and produced as BDP Sets.
- There is a limit of two copies of each set per household.
- Sets are produced in a limited production run of up to 30,000 copies based on pre-orders received.

The BrickLink Designer Program team will consider our votes alongside their review criteria as they pick the five sets to be crowdfunded in Series 5. There are 305 projects to choose from, and you can use emojis to vote for as many designs as you wish. Vote tallies are secret and the result will be announced at a later date. Those are expensive sets. Not for me. I wish they would habe picked st least a couple of smaller ones.
Haha! I love the ant colony! I hope it will get picked!
I don’t see anything super innovative in this round. But I gave a smiley for a couple of them anyway
The mushroom house is really cute. And the price is not bad. I also like the train, but it’s a bit it’s more than what I could afford right now. Surprisingly, only one of the sets sold out. But they are all funded, which is really good.
My kids got into trains recently. I don’t want them to see that one with the bridge. 😀
The mushroom house was an absolute must for me. there are a few awesome ones in the new series to choose from. I haven’t gone through them all yet, but the Little Old Lady’s Shoe is definitely one I want if it goes through.
I spent many summers growing up in a country cottage house similar to that Swedish House there. The proposal seems to be more of a permanent residence, though.
Cute build, although the personal connections might not sway me enough for me to buy it.
