Another set perfect with the modulars!
It looks so much like the museum!
I like how it comes on three half baseplates. Easier to carry than a full baseplate.
Definitely a day 1 purchase. Guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and get the X-Jet now, a set that’s 1/4 the price with 1/10 of the pieces.
Sigh.
It’s so awesome I almost feel bad about not wanting to buy it.
So, here’s a curious question. If a modular building is made for adults why are the rooms to small for adult hands to fit in them? Just another large set with small rooms. Nice set and mini figure selection. I hope Lego would make smaller and affordable sets for kids with the same Minifigures in them. It seems adults have taken over and people have forgotten that Lego started for kids. I know things have changed over the years, but, let’s not forget the kids.
They actually tried to address the issue with adult hands fitting into small spaces in some of the Modulars. Some have easily removable wall sections or missing walls just to accommodate large-handed adults.
And yes, LEGO is keenly aware that they have to continue to appeal to younger generations to keep the hobby healthy and relevant. In general, we still have plenty of small to medium sets in every theme, however adults naturally talk about sets meant for them. But yeah, there are lots of sets for kids too. And many of them are just as cool as the big sets.
I actually enjoy smaller sets myself. Modulars are kind of my upper limit. Anything bigger than that, and I get bored. Plus, I have no room to display them.
