2025 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Sets Overview

Those new to LEGO often shy away from customizing or rebuilding their sets into something else. A good way to transition into getting more adventurous with LEGO is with the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets. These sets come with instructions for three alternate designs, and sometimes even more on the LEGO website. This year, LEGO is offering a generous selection of smaller sets – all with alternate designs.

The #31159 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Surprising Spider features eight poseable legs and large teeth, and you can pull out a neon-yellow web from its back. The other two builds are a poseable scorpion and a poseable snake. This is a fun and engaging set with only 153 pieces for $12.99, available at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #31160 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Race Plane includes instructions for three awesome vehicles you can build from the same pieces: an airplane with a rotating propeller and moving wheels, a jet plane with moving wheels, and a helicopter with a spinning rotor blade. Each model can be displayed on a brick-built stand. This set is also smaller, only 178 pieces, for $14.99, and is available at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Fans of mythical animals can build three different creatures with the #31161 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Dragon; a poseable dragon, a poseable sea serpent, or a poseable phoenix. This set is a great introduction to building animals, and the final models can be added to fantasy creations, castles, and more. The set comes with 715 pieces for $59.99 at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

There are also four sets with cute animals. The #31162 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Cute Bunny can be rebuilt into a poseable llama or a seal (price: $19.99). The #31163 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Playful Cat can be rebuilt into a poseable puppy or a pigeon (price: $24.99). A slightly larger set is the #31165 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Panda Family with two cute pandas (adult and baby) that can be rebuilt into an adult and baby penguin or an orca with her calf (price: $39.99). The last animal set is probably the prettiest. The #31170 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Pink Flamingo comes with a poseable head on a plant-covered stand. It can be rebuilt into a cockatoo or an adorable pink axolotl with underwater plants (price: $24.99). All four sets are available at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #31164 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Space Robot is an action-packed space set with three alternate models: a robot on moving tracks; a poseable space dog with a bone and a flying disc, or a space rocket. But wait, there is more! The set also includes a light-brick that works with all three alternate models. This set comes with 281 pieces and retails for $24.99 at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Finally, the pretty pink #31169 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Typewrite and Flowers is decorated with four colorful brick-built flowers and features a moving keyboard and platen and a brick-built sheet of paper. The alternate builds are a keytar on a stand with flowers and a flowerpot with a pen and notebook. The set also comes with three stickers featuring thoughtful phrases that can be used to decorate the models. This set comes with 363 pieces and the price is $29.99 at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

All of these sets are fun, engaging, and affordable. And they should help those who are hesitant to customize their sets to get comfortable with building and rebuilding from the same elements. Another way to enjoy these sets is to purchase multiple copies and build all three models at the same time. This is a fun engagement for families and will also boost available useful parts. And three models from the same set look nice on display as they have a matching theme and color-scheme.

What do you think? How do you like the new selection of LEGO 3-in-1 sets? Are you planning to get any of them? Or do you have any of them already? Feel free to share your thoughts and own reviews in the comment section below!

I need to consider my space and funds, first and foremost.

Sets are looking good, but all I might buy here is 31164 Space Robot, if I find a big discount.
