Rare BrickLink Designer Program Sets for Sale Soon!

The LEGO Group is excited to inform LEGO fans in the United States and Canada that a limited number of BrickLink Designer Program (BDP) sets from Series 1 and 2 will be available for sale on May 20, 2025, at 8 AM Pacific Time.

Sometimes LEGO ends up with a small number of additional BDP sets at the end of our production process — that’s the case with BDP Series 1 and 2. Inventory is very limited, so don’t wait if you want to get your hands on one of these rare fan-designed sets! Visit shop.LEGO.com on the day of the sale to check availability.

How can I check if extra BrickLink Designer Program (BDP) sets are available? – You will find a link in the email you receive about the extra BDP sets. Click the link, and then scroll and click on any of the sets listed, and you’ll be taken to LEGO.com. Once there, you will be able to click on the sets you’re interested in and see if they are available.

Why are there extra BDP sets available, and how often does this happen? – The number of available sets is comprised of the limited quantity of cancelled orders and extra sets produced to replace lost and damaged shipments. These extra sets are only available when all pre-orders have been fulfilled.

Are BDP sets restocked after selling out? – Currently, there are no plans to produce additional sets after each series’ Crowdfunding period ends.

Who can purchase these extra BDP sets? – BrickLink members in the U.S. and Canada can purchase these very limited number of sets.

Is there a limit on how many sets can be purchased? – Yes, there is a limit. You can buy only one copy of each of the sets available.

Will excess BDP sets be available globally, or are they only available in the U.S. & Canada? – These very limited quantities are only available to members in the U.S. and Canada. This is because these excess sets were produced for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

I’m located in Europe—how can I purchase excess BDP sets? – If you are located in Europe, any excess BDP sets are sold exclusively through LEGO House in Billund, DK, during Inside Tours and fan tours.

How do I place an order for an extra BDP set? – Click on the set you’re interested in at the top of this page, and you’ll be taken to LEGO.com. Once there, you will be able to add up to one of each available set to your cart and check out.

What payment methods are accepted for BDP sets?LEGO.com accepts payment by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or PayPal. Please visit the “Payment Methods” page on LEGO.com for more information.

Will there be more extra sets from future BDP series? – It is possible that additional Series 3, 4, and 5 sets will become available in the future. You will be notified via email if this occurs.

How can I stay updated on new BDP set releases and availability? – To stay updated on future BDP set availability, you need to be signed up for the BrickLink Newsletter. To subscribe to the newsletter, please visit BrickLink.com. Once there, click your account icon and then “Account Settings” at the top right of the page. Once there, select “My Contact Settings.” Scroll to the bottom and check the “Marketing News” and “Newsletter” boxes under Personalized Marketing.

The sets available in Series 1 were as follows: Parisian Street by NicolasCarlier, General Store by llucky, Snack Shack by DistractedBldr, Old Train Engine Shed by Mind_the_Brick, and Mountain Fortress by SleeplessNight. This was a very popular series with sets selling out almost instantly. You can still find some copies on the secondary market, but the prices are significantly higher than they were originally. So this is your second chance to own them!

The sets available in Series 2 were as follows: Logging Railway by ties25, Brick Cross Train Station by brickester, Ominous Isle by jazlecraz, The Ocean House by Hanwas, and Mushroom House by JonasKramm. Again, if you would like a second chance at any of these sets, make sure you don’t miss the date!

Extras made in case they ever needed to send a replacement due to quality control issues, with enough time passed they just want rid of them now, but since they aren’t regular retail product they can’t just send them to retail channels.
